So how did you get on having to use yet another flattener with this scope, as the one built in is no good at all with modern small pixel cameras, so tak now supply the extra flattener to solve this, yet in my case it still does not give good stars at all…what backspace did you use…or have you not used it yet with a small pixel camera…??
Looking forward to your next steps with this scope. As a lover of watches, I appreciated the shoutout to Grand Seiko. Been eyeing the 44GS 55th Anniversary myself, though maybe this telescope would be a wiser choice!
Congratulations! May I ask how much did it cost you approximately if thats not to trouble to answer ? I’m planning to get one and pair it with a Fujifilm XT4 ( my current camera ) - mount them on a tracking mount and start astrophotography. But I need some sincere advice so I won’t make pricey decisions which will turn out to be huge errors due my lack of experience. Much appreciated!
Also you say you install the flattener inside the scope, which is not correct, the kne that comes with fits on the back, there is already one inside which does not work with modern small pixel cameras…hence needing another one to fit on the back…I have the same set up and it’s very poor with my QHY268 cameras with 3.76 micron pixels…☹
Been a “looker up there” for a long time and have desire to observe and Astro photography. Good luck with your scope. Look forward to more details and photos. What is your IG?
Congratulations Dave! That is one fine instrument you’ve got there!! Can’t wait to see what you can do with it.
Thanks Ron! Hopefully I can do this scope justice...
Congrats on this new and amazing instrument!
Thanks so much!
@@keystothecosmos7527 Can't wait to see results and get some feedback after your first light. - Have fun. :)

Of course you're excited. I hate it when people say why don't you look more excited. Excitement is an emotion and not necessarily reflected outwardly.

It doesn’t matter what it cost him. What matters is what it will cost you and if you’re willing to pay that price. if you did buy it, enjoy.
Fantastic. I just took delivery of a Takahashi Epsilon 130D 1 week ago. I looked at the FSQ85 too and was sorely tempted.
Awesome! Congrats on the new scope
@@keystothecosmos7527 thx. Having fun setting it up printing custom 3D parts etc - certainly not mass-market like my previous WO….
Wow that's bigger than I expected and what it looks like in photos. And I was considering the 106ED.
It's not too big and fairly light. Fits on a smaller mount nicely👌
@@keystothecosmos7527 Still debating this vs a astrograph reflector. I mainly like to shoot galaxies and some nebulae.
You have tried it many times now. Is it better than Askar?
I'm thinking of buying Takahashi, too.
How long did the delivery take?
It took about 7 months or so but this was at the height of COVID. Hopefully it's improved by now!
Nice! How will this do with a full frame camera?
Thanks. It's designed for an APS-C but from what I hear it should do well with a full frame as well
Cool looking scope. I will to get a Small Apo hopefully!
Thanks man. Hope you get it soon 🤜🤛
Grats on a fantastic scope!
Thanks so much!
Thats taking the next step right there!! Thanks for the deal on the ED102, I'll take very good care of her. Try not to drop the Tak lol!
Lol. Not a chance!
Very nice can’t wait for the images
Thanks so much!

Wow 👏👏👏😍
Grazie Massimo!
Some what disappointed to see that to pay so much for a nice Tak, that it doesn't even come with a carrying case, let alone a padded carry bag,.
Can't argue with you. These companies are getting cheap 😔
