    We're back, baby! It's time to explore Litchfield National Park!
    After re-stocking in Darwin, we're off to Litchfield for a fun-filled week exploring the waterfalls and swimming holes that make the area famous.
    In Part 1, we're heading off-road and tackling some of the creek crossings as we head down to Tjaynera (Sandy Creek) Falls and then to Suprise Creek Falls.
    After such an epic day exploring, our next spots to check out were Walkers Creek, Wanji Falls, and then we finished off with a swim at Buley Rock Holes.
    We've still got heaps to explore in this incredible park, so make sure you tune in next week for Part 2 of our Litchfield National Park trip.

    Nice Job. I was very fortunate to have camped extensively in Litchfield back in the late eighties, early nineties, when it was the best kept secret in Darwin. Back then you could swim in Wangi Falls. I was even able to camp rather close to the base of Florence falls and not have to share them with anyone else. it was magic. It used to be just a four wheel drive track to access the park, but when they put the bitumen road through, it was never the same.

    heheh... Great stuff guys. Loved Litchfield also. I recall doing the Walker Creek walk. Got to the end and set up my camera on a tripod. I was zooming in on one of the smaller falls at the end and to my surprise, there were two young ladies topless sunbaking. I panicked thinking that they may have thought I was a weirdo..... but I did love the swim there.

    Throw the Mozzie coils out and invest the money into a thermocell. They are excellent and a life saver for us and the little ones in the NT.

    Wondering what the termites eat with that many in the one place, maybe they get home delivery trees.

    We used several moszy coils in Port Hedland and here in Weipa and I don't get bitten.
    Pretty much all day in Hedland as bad.

    Another great video. Tried all the mozzie devices. The best is Thermacell. Got mine from Bunnings. Only issue is the refill packs are a bit expensive. The natural alternative is a sandalwood burner. If you are heading West to Kununurra you should keep any eye out for one as Kununurra has a number of sandalwood plantations.

    • @TheLifestylePioneers
      @TheLifestylePioneers  3 года назад

      Thanks Jo, we should probably reconsider the Thermocell. They are expensive though.

    Forgot to mention we have had a lot of success with a thermacell. Available from Bunnings for $50 but they do repel the mozzies and midges for 25 sqare metres.
    Tricky to get lit but once going does the job for three hours for about a dollar.

    • @TheLifestylePioneers
