Love the random kekking, lol, and Cilla's nonreaction. D is super tenacious, and I love that about her. Hopefully they get to scraping in those fresh new pebbles soon if they haven't already.
Me encanta ver la expresión de cara de Di en los momentos de limpieza. Gracias Dra. Cilla y su equipo, seguro que Di les da las gracias y su aprobación por el trabajo bien hecho🤩💗💗
I absolutely love just how much these precious birds are being taken care of.👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻 I do wish that all kinds of birds nests or homes would be given this kind of wonderful treatment too.❤️🥰. Di and Xav seemed to be more interested then in extreme fear. If I may ask, just how did they get up to the Box? Do they go inside the the long neck of the whole thing. Sorry but this is my first time seeing humans actually taking care of wild birds and I think it’s just precious and if I may say, thank you for do all that you do for them too. God bless and I absolutely love the view from inside the box. Gives a great idea of just how high that Box is. Have a good day. Sue M. Florida ❤️🙏👏🏻👏🏻🥰🐦⬛❌⭕️
There are some 110 steps (I think) that lead up to the nest box. I have observed many raptor’s nests being maintained in the off-season. In fact, I’ve recently created videos of clean-ups of the San Jose City Hall and Cal Falcons peregrine falcons nest. You can see them here, if you’re interested ruclips.net/video/45Ks_mtd_NA/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/k7gFN2OKRDQ/видео.html.
@@skhideaways So nice to hear from you and I do thank you so much for your answering my questions too. I do know that the nests that have cams and whatever needs to be done in the off seasons while the Raptors are not around. I shall check it out and again, I do thank you so much for sharing the info. God bless, Sue M. Florida ❤️🙏👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥰❌⭕️
I'm so surprised that the nest was cleaned while there was still a juvie around. Was it just to get the egg--and why couldn't that wait a bit longer? And, yikes, even the power tool. Loved how Xavier joined the fray after that. I hope this has no permanent effect on any of the peregrines--at least Diamond seemed OK at the end (even though after all the human racket, the pumps came on). But . . . very impressed by Diamond's defense of her nest--perhaps she was more aggressive than usual because she still has a juvie around? Anyway . . . I missed this and thank you for capturing. Loved the great views outside the box and from the ledge: Diamond and Xavier are an amazing pair--and quite the aerial acrobats.
I adore the look Diamond continuously gives to the camera as if she were saying, "What the...?" She is so fearless remaining at or near her home to supervise the cleaning. Thank you for the cleaning the service Dr. Cilla - I have witnessed this. Not only was it high but it would have been quite warm too. You are so lucky and privileged to be able to partake in such an event for our lovely Diamond and Xavier. Diamond looks very impressed at your thorough work - well done and 10 out of 10! 🥰❤🙏🐦🐦
Tks, I needed that bit of levity! I would not want to be an intruder or prey (or a stray arm)! Incredible flying! Great how they hover to look inside. Tks to Cilla and team, esp for stair walking (I guess no elevator), those cobwebs been bugging me! 😍 Hope Di, Xav, and Marri order in tonight and recover from the extended and excellent defense. Showed those naked mammals, huh? 👋 Gabuda 🥚, we loved ye...
I was just about to go out to do errands when I decided to take a quick look at the Orange nest box--needless to say the errands did not get done when I discovered it was cleaning day. Cilla accomplished her tasks at 10 am-ish NSW time in 75F heat! And what a racket that hatch door makes--Cilla said in the chat that it hit her in the head a few times. Not to mention the power tool and vacuuming noise. (Thanks for muting the pump sound, SKH.) Diamond and Xavier were heroic throughout the procedure. I'm happy that D has given her seal of approval for a job well done once again by Auntie Cilla. Great compilation as always, SKH--also enjoyed the ledge and tower cam shots that you included.
Di's curiosity about the sounds and events around her nest box was interesting to see. She was a watchful Mama Peregrine, but in a seemingly non-agressive way (but I'm no expert). Happy to see the cobwebs removed! Nice work, Cellia and the others! Diamond seemed to approve, too! Thank you for the highlights, SK_H!
The cleaners might well have been worth the price, but there's no substitute for elbow grease and a brush. Pity there wasn't a positive air pressure source in the tower. That would have blown the detritus out the front door and done away with the need for a plastic bag.
"no one said anything about power tools" MY FAVORITE!!!! This made me smile.
❤❤❤❤❤
Brave lady!

Fantastic editing of sound and picture, SK!

@lynheideman8487 I wondered and hope the same thing.
D&X very protective of their nest box, but these people are very brave to do this cleaning
Thank you SK from UK 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Video gives a good idea of the challenging labour involved in the clean. Well done Dr Cilla & thanks SK
Good louve d and x ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Don't know why but I always enjoy when Cilla visits the box.
I laughed a lot, thank you!
Thank you, Cilla, for all you do. D is very brave, as if she knows it’s just room service, lol. Great vid, thanks SKH❤

How do the humans get up there- stairs, elevator?
Over 100 stairs 😅
