I was high on Levis coming out but he's even exceeded my expectations. Titan Upppp ⚔️
Overall, impressive given the circumstances. Some specific plays:
2:00 - Calmly sidesteps to the right to avoid pressure, delivers a beautiful pass while getting hit... that is a "big boy" play.
2:20 - Obviously misses Hopkins in the EZ running right... bet WL wishes he had that back.
2:50 - It's a little thing, but it would have been nice if Spears had kept going upfield and not cut towards the boundary... probably could have picked up an extra 2-3 yards
3:10 - Another "big boy" throw that many QBs don't have the arm or confidence to make
3:20 - This Corner Route should be a staple of the Titans' gameplan every week... WL has the arm and confidence to hit that over and over.
3:40 - Should have absolutely been a TD pass if Spears hadn't gotten turned around and lost his balance... frustrating.
3:50 - Hop drop
4:15 - Incredible heads-up play to get that ball out to Henry before getting sacked... really poised and heady.
4:45 - There's that Corner Route again...
4:53 - Incomplete pass but smart to get rid of it towards an eligible receiver feeling the pressure and not taking a sack
5:12 - On 4th & 5, I wish I knew if this was a predetermined call or a WL read... Needing 5 yards, not sure I agree throwing deep.
5:20 - Some of these throws, you know are trouble as soon as the ball leaves the QB's hand... that pass had "danger" written all over it, given how it was lofted in there.
6:37 - Wish he'd hit the WR in the right flat instead of temping the Deep MOF
Had some miscues in the second half but i thought overall he still played well
Kid is the real deal
5:17 was a real good throw, From a rookie in his second game. He is well beyond his years. He's slinging it all over the place. Making completions with a defender draped all over him. Scanning the field, good vision and touch. Lots to like.
i'm conflicted for titans fans where its like he has weaknesses and deep down i know he's still the same dude that all 31 teams felt the need to pass on night 1 including the titans and its an issue where, its a question of, can i deal with the unstable accuracy? and i veer to yes because while in all my research i've been taught guys don't really change and the accuracy never truly fixes itself over a decade, at the same time i did see Trevor improve it, over time so i lean yes, at the same time tho, its nerve-wracking and, its gonna be a bumpy ride for titans fans over the next 2 years because, part of me thinks they should get their guy next draft class if Levis isn't the guy, but he might be the guy, but if he isn't by the time you know for sure, it'll be too late to get a proper true elite talent. 2:00 is the hope you know? where he just took that 1 step and bought himself an extra half second, 1:04, the same thing but if he's destined to have inconsistent footwork, move himself into sacks, be dicey with ball placement and accuracy. you either end up moving on to a better player or wishing you did for the next decade +, it's very tricky watching him. a better player would play even better, but its just, could he just be that better player over time? that's what's difficult.
@tvtda1 It's his second game, He was under pressure the entire game. It's amazing that being passed on in the 1st rd is even a topic. Look at draft history. He checks every box, plus he stays in the pocket and sees the field under pressure. Its his second game, LoL. Howell, TL and Levis are the 3 best QB's in the last 3 drafts. The 4th best hasn't even taken a snap yet. TL "improved " over is second year because his 1st coach and system were terrible. The Titans aren't picking 1st or second, so they are not drafting an elite talent at QB.
@@TonydaGM they should think about trading into those spots (1st or 2nd overall) theres even options staying at wherever they're slotted. they're in Tennessee right now, Joe Milton is playing right down the road, and they might seriously want to consider that at some point in the draft. Will Levis complicates things because Will Levis makes you pass on taking a QB at all this offseason possibly, and tbf maybe they have taken enough QB's if they can't develop one. but some of these prospects have top 10-top 5 QB potential. Levis doesn't check every box because he's not consistent with his accuracy and his decision making and he short circuits with both at unpredictable moments. his footwork was TERRIBLE pre-draft and he's still a work in progress. you pass on any upgrades and free agents and its basically betting on Levis being that top 5-10-15 QB for you and it is a gamble.
What makes him good is he knows the opportunity he's given he knows what to expect he knows he's at the next level he's going to be just fine a good ass QB
Watching this live it was so easy to see the difference in arm talent with Levis vs Pickett
I hope the Titans focus on the O-Line in the draft so that this kid doesn’t get killed.
I randomly come back and watch last years games and think the same thing every time. If we dont draft Joe Alt im going to be pissed.
Those 2nd quarter and 4th quarter drives look pretty good. Just need some coaching he will be great.
I'm happy that despite the Titans losing. Levis has recieved so much praise for his efforts. He did the best he could with how shitty his O-line was.
I keep seeing it more and more nowadays and I think I saw it first with the Jags, a couple years ago. Offensive tackles have a tendency to jump just a tic before the snap. I think it gives them an edge on, well, Edge rushers. I just saw it on the Titans. I think they tend to do it in pass plays which should tip off defenders, “Pass!” It might be a wash though on advantage although I think it’s the line judge to call and the NFL should crack down on it.
Idk if Levis will be any good or not, but the Titans can not keep going forward w/ Tannehill. They need to go w/ Levis the rest of the year and see what they got. I see a little Brett Farve in him.
AKA what it looks like when you have a solid rookie QB but your o-line is currently and literally the worst in the league.
NWI was open on that last throw
Not open but there was a window. That play was a bad play call (four verticals) Levis should have thrown it out of the back of the end zone and lived for a final down. Four verticals is a bad play call there because it's compressed field with defenders just waiting for that throw. You have to move them laterally somehow and get them off of their spot. Still a bad decision by Levis to force it to his first read but he wasn't given much to work with almost all game.
@@bonecold4387 that’s what I meant, I agree
Hopkins can sure make something out of nothing. Maybe he’s been a bit misunderstood in his career and he should be used more. (The QB School guy made a good point on one of Levis’ throws last week. But at 1:30 the receiver’s really being jammed on the boundary and there’s no way that pass can be complete as it’s out of bounds. But this throw by Will is really similar to last week’s. But I believe the corner has inside leverage and it’s supposed to be the receiver’s job to give the QB a little wiggle room for a throw perhaps.)
too bad al works for a network that will never get me behind their firewall...miss you al
Beat GB next 😊
Let’s go Steelers let’s go F Titans
😂 the 3rd string qb gave y’all a game
1 ply tissue line doesn’t help will
He’s a bust … it’s a reason he was picked last in his class
Malik Willis is better , and would have won against Steelers
Stop🤣🤣
No shot
