Ricers give tuners a bad name because the average person can't tell the difference it seems. Ricers turn slow cars into loud and obnoxious slow cars. Tuners turn slow cars into insane cars that can go way faster than the manufacturer ever dreamed of. I've seen some mind-blowing HP numbers. Some engines are so well-built and tuned that you will be amazed at how much abuse and stresses those engines can endure while shredding tires and escaping the police.
Tuners don't embarrass supercars btw. Its a fully tuned car that also has alot of mods against a stock supsupercar. A tuner is tweaked precisely to get every bit of power and everything else it needs to be fast while a supercar is made for looks and status.
But which car is more reliable? The exotics various mechanical systems are designed to perform with speed, longevity and reliability in mind. An "economy" vehicle who's mechanical systems are pushed to the limit will have a very short life. Want a real test? Take a supercharged, nitrous Civic, and a V12 Italian. Race to 150mph, the civic wins. But if you hold that speed until one breaks, obviously the V12 will take it and run for hours
I would like to see a part three. Except that instead of a drag race, put the cars on a roadcourse. I suggest that people go see the show sorted to really see how hard it is to build a car that can beat cars like corvettes, porsches and other high performance cars. Oh and here is the kicker. Those cars are not modified at all. Brap on
