This knife is done in the traditional form. It's a straight run of blade, then it stops & sharply transfers into the kisaki. The kisaki also has the gently sloped profile. Idk how Lionsteel does that on their grinder, as it would be really hard to produce. They get it right though. That is not easy to do, at all. Very very impressive. Traditional Japanese knives have a kisaki. It's where the main grind transfers into the tip, & the geometry changes slightly. The American tanto is a massively exaggerated version of this

Wish it was all titanium and not by lion steel their grinds are thick
