Good to hear John discussing his chances and being honest on his outcomes. It's not easy to maintain high results, year upon year. The competition at Ascot is now global as it should be to fly the flag. Great to see the crowds returning after a fairly lengthy absence. The firm going will favour the forgeiners as thats normal abroad. Old strad will be playing beethhoven on his circuit once again.

I think people forget the eras of Le Moss and Ardross , Double Trigger and Persian Punch. There is a huge following for the stayers division so looking after Stradivarius to continue his legacy is a no brainer. If the horse is enjoying training and racing why pull up stumps. I hope there is lightning fast ground for Ascot as Strad will be right there under those conditions.

Late decision on Emily Upjohn so why have most bookmakers taken the market down, and William Hill are trying to screw gullible punters by going 6/4? They know something that punters don't and must be raising a toast to this 'gent' who has steered punters up a blind alley, not for the first time. Most of what he comes out with is glorified waffle.

Confirmed non runner. Until this no punter would have expected Emily Upjohn to have run in the Ribblesdale. Late decision? She was never going to run was she? Unless you are a bookmaker a very sad prelude to the meeting. Too many of these 'old school' trainers treat the punter with utter contempt, and the train conveniently ignores it time and time again. Clearly he should have kept his mouth firmly shut.

See it all the time with his runners on the AW, Example - Night before the race priced up at 4/6
Ten minutes before the race 6/4 - then 7/4 etc etc
As Harry Findlay always said...........It's like the horse has stood on glass. And the horse will be the first off the bridal and lose.
The racing game STINKS these days what with all these Yards and Jockey's in the same bed as the bookmakers, totally stinks.
