Very helpful video... Recently purchased a Rytm.. I was perplexed about the Env design and meaning to check the manual about this. This video came in at the perfect time. Thanks my friend! :D
Thanks :) happy I could save you some frustration! The rytm is an amazing machine but few things are not user friendly…like this AHD stuff, makes no sense to me eheh
I also just purchased AR during the holiday sale. Long time DAW user but new to the Elektron world and Groovebox’s in general. I’ve watched alot of videos on this box but everything is so fragmented. Gonna check out more videos on this channel for sure when I’m in front of my machine. Thank you for your efforts on making your content
It determines the amount of time that the note will be ‘pressed’ by the sequencer. So if you set it to a short value is equivalent to pressing a pad and releasing it shortly after in auto mode. If you set it to a large value is equivalent to keep the pad pressed for longer before releasing it in auto mode. Does this answer your Q?
Also wondering why, given that the analog tracks of the Syntakt have both AHD and ADSR! So it must not be a hardware/electronic constraint or something.

@@solarj any idea why this is the case? Always thought the Syntakt and Rytm shared similar analog engines! 😅

Wish there was an A-Z bible for this box so complicated
@@jeremystorm3902 there is; RTFM & Elektronauts forums! 😁
I still come back to watch this most nights.
Helpful! I was always annoyed by this amp envelope behavior.
Lovely work on this Sol !
Thanks mate :)
Well explained! Thank you!
Whoa, that's nuts the Rytm doesn't have that IMO.
It's a drum machine primarily - so the original choice makes sense - they want you to buy their other synths if you want more synthy voice features :)
Omg, thx you, bro!
You're welcome!
Nice one!
thank you! :D
moving fusion thunderball... enjoy :)
👋
What does the trigger length do when the evenlope is not on auto?

The one thing I still don’t understand is why did Elektron make the AR amp envelope like this? There must be some reason… but it’s so frustrating

I hope it gets retrigger mode in an update. This makes no sense for a drum machine!
I knooow, specially if they tease you by adding such cool mono synths sounds machines like the one they added with the 1.7 update..!
they almost did an ADHD envelope x)
😁
Makes it impossible to really use as a synth
Only thing we can do is say a little before-bedtime prayer for an ADSR in the next update XD
@@solarjI hope so too. Have the MK1
Oooooh maaaan I thought I was just a fuckup
Well…I mean I might be but this helps😊
ahah I don't know about you but the AHD envelop is a major fuxxup from elektron imho
