    Commentators saying Jakob disrespectful to opponents and cocky by running slow at the back then surging at the end. To me this is just a classic run by Jakob staying at the back to keep out of trouble. There have been so many falls recently in Diamond league that I think it’s best to keep about of trouble during the rounds. What does everyone else think?

      Commentators don't know s***, Jakob doing what he needs to do, stay out of trouble and not get tripped in the first lap, use as little energy as possible to finish comfortably, it's the totally rational strategy. Watch for a fast race in the finals, an Olympic record if all goes to plan.

      I’m with you. He did exactly what he needed to do, why show out in the qualifying rounds? He did that at the world championships and look at what happened.
      I see this more as utter confidence in himself than cockiness. But, I don’t know him. You don’t know him. Nobody in this comment section knows him. He’s doing what he thinks is best. What do we have to critique about that?

    • @johnwilson5743
      @johnwilson5743 Месяц назад +1

      Hocker is certainly capable of winning. It all comes down to how the race is run. If "slow" then he has a finishing kick equal to anyone else and better than most. If hitting the lead with 400 to go, certain people are capable of knocking out a 51 second last lap. Meaning anyone wanting to pass would need to run 50 seconds for the last lap!

    If Jakob can execute the same tactics as in Monaco this year, basically setting a red hot pace right from the gun to drop the field, then I think he can win gold for sure. However, if he fails to drop the field, he's probably gonna get outkicked by the likes of Kerr, Wightman or Hocker, depending on who's closest to him by that point. So he has to run up front, and set a blazing fast pace that nobody else can keep up with, that has to be the tactic for him. Let's see if he succeeds.

    Make money - name your videos, Jacob Ingebrigtsen. Josh Kerr is a joke. And you keep going. You startet a perfect channel and now we waste our time.
    I'm so thankful you don't have permission to show anything from OL. Watch and learn 20 min from now. Total running........

    No respect for Nordas. None

    Nordas will be seen as a traitor in his own country! But a bigger story is Jakob's father probably put him up to it and in 2021 in was father and son, now father is betting against his own son. These are young guys but if that is true these wounds between father and son(s) will never heal.

    Jakob Ingebrigtsen & Josh Kerr overrated. Did NOT even make the podium. Jakob Ingebrigtsen faded, sadly!

    You didn't seriously just call Narve and Jakob teammates??
    Do some research before posting videos like this dude.

      I guess "athletes from the same country" would be more appropriate - definitely not teammates. I'm very familiar with how they have a history - especially with Ingebrigtsen's family history. I'll choose better wording in the future

      In the context of the Olympic Games they are teammates, no doubt about it
