This is their theme song. It's played at all of their concerts and it always gets loud and rowdy when it comes on, everyone shouting "Undead" during the hook
I got the insane pleasure of opening for this band in Fayetteville in the early 2000's with my own band. When Hollywood Undead came up it started with like a raid siren, their drummer launched into a drum solo that i can only describe as fucking insanely good then they played this song. Bro when i tell you the entire building started shaking from the energy of the crowd and the band im not lying. One of the best live shows I ever got the privilege of seeing and I've seen more then I care to mention. Their entire production for the album had this energy.
Hard song, great for when your training, boxing, mauythai, BJJ, MMA. I'm 61, just got my black belt in BJJ and I do MMA I'll put this on sometimes for the young guy's.
My first time hearing this track was on a radio station where it was edited. It was hilarious how little I could understand once the verses started. The sample is the melody of Ozzy's Crazy train. I also liked their song "Young".
Your reactions sometimes make me literally laugh out loud. You analyze even the most basic lyrics in such a passionate way and I love that. You could react to the ingredients of Pepsi and it would be so thought provoking lol
This was one of the songs I played over and over in my head at basic training. 😆😆 I discovered this song while playing madden '09. My favorite band by far! I have a 6 hour playlist of just Hollywood Undead. 😅
You should react to their songs, Up in Smoke and Bullet. Those are my favorite songs by them, especially the latter. It's often described as the happiest-sounding song about suicide
its goofy, its campy, its immature and i LOVE IT. Hollywood Undead was the soundtrack to my highschool years. their second album came out in either my freshman or sophomore year, and both albums were on constant rotation. i recommend any track from this album Swan Songs, and most of their second album is difinitely worth a listen. their more recent albums definitely aren't my favourite but their third album has smome bangers imo
how poor white kids felt when eminem first really hit it big (98-04) is ALLOT how poor white kids felt when Hollywood undead first came up from 2008 to 2014, so a solid 10 years later. theres no doubt that these guys were inspired by Eminem and a ton else. I grew up during their PRIME, loving them every minute of the way untill even today. I also was in my early childhood when Eminem blew up and took over. We clung to this because it spoke to us. Cant wait to see them in a few months
Every song on this album is a banger. For me though "Young" and "City" are my top tracks. "Undead" is just a rage against the haters and nay-sayers in the industry, it's energetic no doubt, but "Young" you can tell is brutally personal to them, and "City" is similar
you're not alone in this. first time i heard charlie scene's bars and hollywood undead in general, i felt the early eminem vibes so strong i thought eminem did a cameo on the record. i was quickly disillusioned, but i still hear the echos of em.
I hope you react to more of their music especially older vs newer since they have a different front man. Different vibe with both of them too use to be a huge deuce fan till I found out more about him and saw what kinda music he produced when he was kicked from the band
I love that you're getting into Hollywood Undead man, Swan Songs was a fantastic album but Five was the best. Lights Out from Five is a fantastic diss track if you want to give that a listen
Lights Out was actually off of American Tragedy, the album after Deuce split and the first one with Danny singing on it. Which is also why Danny starting that song is pretty awesome.
i never thought about it until now, but the beat and his second vurse sounds similar to to a song from G-Unit. maybe was on a 50 cent album where em and banks were on it. it does sound familiar.
Oh Charlie Scene is 100% inspired by Eminem and i think he's even said so at one point or another. He's a great rapper and singer himself, but he was inspired by Em and its probably where he got that flow from. He has expanded his rapping over the years though
As everyone said, a sped up Crazy Train sample. Charlie Scene's verse definitely sounded like Em. Almost exactly like a specific track of Em's. Still, the delivery, etc. well done. No complaints. Track is 🔥
Swan Songs is kind of a guilty pleasure album for me now. Got really into them back in HS when they first dropped. Kinda corny now that I'm in my 30s. Lol
Mmm. In all reality it isn't their best work by far, their later albums are a lot better made and deeper too, better song choices.. But there is some nostalgia to Swan Songs i think and Undead/Everwhere We Go
No comments seem to highlight it so i'll post it: The band was originally called "Hollywood" and this was their debut song, Undead. However, when the label was handed the CD, it just said "Hollywood Undead" on the face, so the band was acquired by the label under the named Hollywood Undead for that reason.
This is not correct at all, actually. J-Dog gave a demo CD to someone (allegedly it was Shady Jeff the ex-member) and it said Hollywood at the top and Undone (as in unfinished) at the bottom. The person misread "Hollywood Undead" because of the handwriting and that's how they got their name. The first song they worked on was The Kids and not Undead. Not sure where you got the label thing from, because they got popular through MySpace and that's where they released their songs first.
Charlie Scene has said if he had to do it over again, he wouldn't have sampled Crazy Train. They have to pay Sharon & Ozzy royalties every time it's played.
@@scottinokcI doubt it would have gotten as big as it had. The sample is what made me check out Hollywood Undead for the first time back when they first came on the scene.
The band and the song originated in 2005, and they started posting their songs on Myspace. If you listen to the live version, there is an extra verse from J-Dog where he disses Jeffree Star who was actually on one of their unreleased songs from their Myspace era called Turn Off The Lights. Then, there was some beef and a falling out between the band and Jeffree. The diss in the full version of the song is in reference to when J-Dog punched Jeffree in a bar because he overheard him talking shit about the band.
The "sample"(not %100 sure if it's riff they came up with or more likely is a sample as this was from their first full length album) is akin to Ozzy's "Crazy Train" riff but the chord progression is a bit different. And another good one off the same album I'd recommend "Young" or "City", still 2 of my favorites to this day.
Nah it's a sample that's been modified which is why the note pattern is different. Pretty sure Charlie has said they had to pay a ton or royalties to ozzy over this lol
Hollywood Undead are from Los Angeles and hit the scene in 2008 with the debut record Sawn Songs which this song is off of. The one thing I love about the band is the ever evolving music sound. The original front man who did the chorus left after the release of the Dove and Grenade EP to go solo due to different musical interests.
This is their theme song. It's played at all of their concerts and it always gets loud and rowdy when it comes on, everyone shouting "Undead" during the hook

You're def right about it being a "hit record." All of Swan Songs is good.
I really like Black Dahlia by Hollywood Undead
Yes that's a classic
I’ve seen them live and the whole building shook with the whole crowd screaming UNDEAD!!!!! Great band, great song!!! 😎🤘🔥🥰💜
I've seen them live about 5 times and every time they roof is blown off
Seen them twice. Fun time
I can vouch for that as well saw them play with falling in reverse and papa roach they got the crowd completely wild
@@orion4870 I bet that show was Amazing!!! I saw them with Black Veil Brides, H.U., Asking Alexandria & A7x back in 2010! Fire show!!! 🔥🔥🤘😎
@@orion4870 Same here and just saw them with TechNiN3
Hollywood Undead is my favorite band I highly suggest checking out We Are, Day of the Dead, Hear Me Now, California Dreaming, and World War Me
World War Me easily one of their top 10 best songs
Oh yeah, Hear Me Now and Day of the Dead hit different.
I really think we need to make him listen to bullet
Great fucking song but also gets great reactions
@@gimpyrules6714 I believe he did bullet in another video
@Bman328 yeah he did haha
I'm dumb lol
Definitely gotta check out Every where I go by them so good’
this entire album is a vibe, love it
This IS a war chant lol. A bunch of young dudes with something to prove making their first album. Still goes hard to this day.
Yo great song by them you should react to Hollywood Undead- Everywhere I go
Hard song, great for when your training, boxing, mauythai, BJJ, MMA. I'm 61, just got my black belt in BJJ and I do MMA I'll put this on sometimes for the young guy's.

These guys put on a super fun show - this song is a blast to close the set out with!
Your reactions sometimes make me literally laugh out loud. You analyze even the most basic lyrics in such a passionate way and I love that. You could react to the ingredients of Pepsi and it would be so thought provoking lol

I really like Hollywood undead - young.
Among others
Thank you. One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands, being reacted to by one of my favorite YT reactors
So happy you did this one. Try California by them
It’s a sample from the beginning of Crazy Train. I was honestly curious if you’d notice
I love Chilli’s southwest egg rolls lmao
Oof, HUD brings back A LOT of past memories 🤣
"Whatever it takes" thats all
anything HU or senses fails is just a banger and this song came out my highschool years so somewhere in 2014-2018
You should react to their songs, Up in Smoke and Bullet. Those are my favorite songs by them, especially the latter. It's often described as the happiest-sounding song about suicide
IT IS an Ozzy sample indeed! GG

you're not alone in this. first time i heard charlie scene's bars and hollywood undead in general, i felt the early eminem vibes so strong i thought eminem did a cameo on the record. i was quickly disillusioned, but i still hear the echos of em.
I’d LOVE to see your reaction to Dark Places.
It's one of my fav bands that and ffdp
Oddly specific, oddly relatable haha, glad I found the channel.
I was always partial to Bullet, since the melody is so disconnected from the lyrics.
Made me think of old school chastlevania music
Man, you need more Hollywood Undead in your life. The WHOLE album of Swan Songs is so effing good.
"California Dreaming" "Gravity" "City of the Dead" "Dead Bite" "Bullet" "Hear Me Now" "Chaos"... you can't really go wrong with any though.
Lion and outside
I definitely listen to them. ALOT. But they are a mix of rap and rock to put it in the simplest terms. That’s how I see it at least
I hope you react to more of their music especially older vs newer since they have a different front man.
Different vibe with both of them too use to be a huge deuce fan till I found out more about him and saw what kinda music he produced when he was kicked from the band

I enjoyed that southwestern eggrolls from Chili's comment, those things slap.

The sample is Black Sabbath Crazy Train
You are right about it being an Ozzy sample. It's from crazy train
It's gonna sound funny but it's my favorite song from my childhood 😅

Oh Lord. It’s 8th grade all over again. 😂. Twas on UFC 09.
Followed HU since MySpace days and honestly they got better with Danny. Young by them with Deuce was the best. J3T will always be the best though.
ufc song in a ufc game also
I know this is from 6 days ago but you should pull up the "original" version. It's got a bit more to J-Dog's verse

I was listening to them in like forever
but this is new to me
It was actually a neighbour who thought their name was hollywood undead when they gave the cds away and they liked the idea so they went with it
But this didn’t happen until after their MySpace music album with Tila Tequila.
Their original EP didn’t have this track.

Bottle and a gun is good. Definitely agree that the entire album is good tho
