Mark Menendez Bass TV: Kentucky Lake IS NOT DEAD! (Spring Bass Fishing)

- Kentucky Lake has been tougher fishing the last few years due to many reasons. Lack of baitfish, cover, and vegetation have all played their hand in the decline of game fish. Another huge factor is the abundance and rise of invasive Asian Carp! Many anglers have claimed Kentucky Lake is "Dead" However, it is far from dead, and in Mark's Scientific Opinion, it is on the rise. Lots of 13-14" bass that are the result of great spawns. There are still some big fish too be caught!

I has notice that you get to the final in every bassmaster you participated but never win the final , for me you are the equivalent of the German Soccer team , just the best , by the way first time in your channel
Its not easy to win! Just getting to the final day is tough! We have a great group of anglers. Best on the planet
I have video’d schools of Asian carp by the hundreds and thousands out there, thank you for fighting to reduce the numbers. I do feel they have reduced slightly but it is going to take decades. Unfortunately the carp have absolutely killed the ledges. I agree the lake is rebounding and I also think all species have learned to tolerate each other and the bass have adapted but I don’t know that the ledges that made Kentucky famous will ever be the same, it has become one heck of a junk fishing lake though but your working for a decent limit on tournament day!
Guess what? It’s over 2 years later and KY Lake is dead.
Hey Mark thanks for sharing your show episodes on your channel we can’t see it any other way in Louisville.
No problem! That is the purpose of RUclips! Everyone gets to watch!
Mark how can us as fisherman and conservationist help with the Asian carp? I live between Rough River and Nolin Lake and am very aware of the problem.
1) You can get in touch with your local state representative and express your concern
2) You can purchase an Asian Carp shirt from Aftco.com where proceeds will be sent directly to the war on carp
I love a 5/16 oz. sinker, perfect for many situations.
Its my favorite all around
Great video. Appreciate all you do for Kentucky Lake.
You bet
I love the title, I made a similar video about the crappie 11 months ago
It's even better now
Most parts of the world are covered with water and there are many fish. The work of a fisherman is easy: choose the best parts.
Thanks for sharing this nice fishing..
Keep it up.
I agree!
Excellent video. Bass fishing has been tough all over this summer. Love this spring video! Got me pumped for spring giants
Same here! It could be really good!
Great show glad the Baitman let me know its up. I sometimes forget about those game hawgs in my bag.
Game Hawg is money maker for me!
She's not dead. She's adapting and adjusting to her age and she's not getting beat up everyday. We've already seen that the Florida strain that was introduced this year at 5in. And yes I am part of that stocking so I have a big interest in this lake.
Thank you for your work!
