- Need for Speed Rivals. NFS Rivals was one of the few nfs titles that I never actually played until now. I don't remember much about the release of this game aside from the fact that this NFS title was the last game to come out of the yearly Need for Speed development cycle that was prevalent at the time. What was your experience with the game? Let me know in the comments!

NFS Rivals' players are some of the most savage players I've ever seen. I was annihilated within SECONDS.

It's funny that even as a cop, the cop players try to kill me so bad
I know their type. I fight them all the time. They go around looking for someone that can give them a good fight because that's a lot of fun for them. I'm always trying to tell them to stop wrecking newer players.
@@WolfPack27NFS Sometimes, I do help them. Say, one of their objectives is to wreck/bust someone, or trying to survive a high heat level (indirectly or directly). For the latter, I serve as a "bodyguard" of sorts.
@@Bartholomew3 Well, police vehicles are really durable. They wanted extra challenge, maybe. The levels of durability are:
• Patrol: Level 7
• Undercover: Level 6
• Enforcer: Level 8
Tips/Notes:
• Repair stations have about 30-second cooldown.
• ESF and Jammer can counter Stun Mines.
• Shock Wave and Shock Rams can push spike strips away.
• Running over your own Spike Strips count as a hit.
• Restart event in Easy Drive teleports you back to the start line of the event you previously raced on. So, when intending to just roam freely, start any event near Hideout/Command Post, finish or abandon event. When you want to call it a day, just restart event, then drive few meters to Hideout/Command Post. Note: as Racers, you should not be in the middle of pursuit for this to work.
• Kingfisher Road corner Last Stallion Ranch, a corner full of surprises.
• Zephyr really likes chaos. He stole the Enforcer variant, the strongest and the most durable of the three.

Jammers can counter spikes. ESF could not.
What 30s cooldown? Why come so my people just loop the repair station and get repaired under 30s?
I don't think it has 30 second cool down
I think it should be 15 or lower.
The repairshop cooldowns work in 5 seconds for me

@@SHDWSKII no, that happen pretty consistently on some races. I tried disabling 60fps tweak and problem is gone but then I stuck with 30fps lock which is terrible

The bugs are the main problem why Rivals has been hated. Some people didn't like the soundtrack because it's obnoxious. Wtf they we're thinking?

A little trick I used : when you want to get alot of cash, just bring a cop to a repair shop and make him follow you through the shop over and over. When the cop radios for backup stay there and continue the more cops the better, the weapons you need are emp and shock wave, because you get repaired and restocked with weapons you are almost invincible just stay close to the shop and try to destroy as much cops as you can. (The best car for this is the Ferrari but you can use any car you want) ps: this only works if you are a racer.
Playing with the cop car as a racer was the best part of this game
Being the enforcer variant, it is also very durable. Although, I find Zephyr's choice somewhat strange, as he wanted speed, in which patrol variant would be more preferable. Or maybe it could be enforcer variant is exactly what he wanted, because he wanted to "send a message."

If you know how to combine multiple power ups (ESF+Shockwave and other combinations), then NFS Rivals is one of the most entertaining NFS games.

I like this game, but the cop mechanics feel a bit unbalanced. Some of the events are REALLY hard to complete when you can't get away from the police.
Getting busted while on the “wrecked” screen was always the worst. I forget how crisp and real this game felt. Just really made it feel gritty when up against cops. Like, it made you drive angry

I love how at 8:11 Minerals by Congorock & Nom De Strip plays during races and it's very badass on when you press Turbo when the drop plays. Reminds me of hitting the nitro on Decadence but better.

Do you play on PC? I am playing when force the fps to 45, but it is no where near your smooth gameplay. Anyone know how to play with 60fps? Because the shortcut 60fps trick make the game broke, races just quit randomly.

The only thing I hate about nfs rivals is the gas station spammers ppl that just spam gas stations instead of driving away how the game is supposed to be played
They can't do that as easily as they thought, as repair stations have 30-second cooldown. Wreck them quickly enough, they will not stand a chance.
