Great job Christian! The 2006 #73 in Sheffield Tobacco is a gem, in my opinion, being among the very 1st run of the Acorn knives. Love those handles & I always wanted to grab 1 of those to "round out" my collection of their 73's, but I kept putting it off, until they were all gone. I absolutely LOVE GEC's liner-locks. Complete with a half-stop, they are rock-solid in every way. Best factory traditional liner-lock made. I hear about some guys who carry them, grinding the lock-tab down a bit, but I like 'em just the way they are. It was the original DEALERS who were putting those stickers on the top in the early days, so they could find the right knife quickly, when filling out an online order. Made sense, as it's easier to see without having to pick up every knife-in-tube to find the one you're looking for, as opposed to the factory sticker near the bottom. Evidently, the folks at GEC eventually agreed, and started doing that as well. Ya gave me goosebumps pertaining to Bob Andrews, as I was JUST THINKING about how he LOVED to chat about knives over the phone, and sure enough, ya mentioned it as it was crossing my mind. I was fortunate to buy several knives from 'ole Bob, and we had a few pleasant conversations. I like every GEC dealer I've ever had the pleasure of meeting over the phone, but Bob was truly a special guy. In addition to telling me all kinds of "short stories" about GEC in their early years, he would always leave ya in an even better mood after the conversation was over. I didn't even know he was battling cancer until the news of his passing, so it really saddened me. Rest in Peace Bob. I too, will always keep the knives I got from Bob. Thanks Christian, I enjoyed it buddy! :o)

Howabouthetruth Thank you my friend for the kind words! That liner lock tab is already sitting as low as I would like it. (Couldn't imagine anyone grinding it lower) and I couldn't agree more I think all the GEC dealers are happy to help you and provide the best service possible. Now I'm on the hunt for a 14 rotten banana bone SFO from Bob

Thanks for sharing the story behind how you acquired the 73s. I hope one day to get up to visit their factory

Leftycutlery let me know if you go. I'll meet you there! I can't get enough of it. Thanks for the kind words too. The story of the 2006 was just me buying it from TSA knives. But I think the story of my 2008 knife makes it more valuable. Thanks again!
