Wow, Slow Machine does a lot more than I expected. It is easy to think it is just a fancy tape stop effect, but it is so much more. There is a lot it does that doesn't even sound like a tape stop. It really can add a lot of inspiration to an idea as Dean says. I always viewed a tape stop effect as just a slow down and stop thing. Very specific. But that is only about 10% of what Bleass Tape Stop does. For example, I did a loop with Fugue Machine and an ARP on a synth. Then threw Slow Machine on it, tried the presets and played with the wet/dry and Filter on the Slow Down screen. Wet/Dry does what you would expect, but the filter also has a big impact on what bleeds through - but it is like a wet/dry that is frequency based. Fugue Machine and an ARP can already create multi-varied musical results with very little effort, and Slow Machine compliments this really well. I was able to add entire sub-parts to the main arp that sounds like I had added several more layers to the original Fugue Machine parts (Fugue Machine only has 4 parts). I mean this is kind of what Fugue Machine does, and Tape Stop can do a similar thing using a different method which adds variations Fugue Machine wouldn't come up with on it's own. End result is a 1 bar loop in Fugue Machine that ends up creating a variation that doesn't repeat for 64 bars! It is similar, but adds variation which keeps it from being boring. Very nice Bleass. Love all your apps.
WOW! YES!!! You totally get it, Michael! The "tape stop" part is really such a small part of what this app can do! 😀 👊 I really love the way it changes whatever I feed into it into something *new* feeling! That unexpected inspiration can be so powerful! 💙
This looks super cool. Bought Nurack mainly for SloMo but this is a new beast. Is there a link for this app please and once again thanks for your super cool tutorials.
I use a bit of time-shifted percussion already, but the process by which I achieve the end result is quite torturous. This is going to save time, effort, and... I can’t wait to get my hands on it! Awesome demo!
Hey Hey! Sweet! Anything that can save a bit of time on a process is such a help! 😀 👊 I was not expecting to be so enamoured with this one -- A lot of possibilities here! ❤️
@@ElectronisoundsAudio What I didn’t put in the headline comment was that you used it almost exclusively on percussion. During Doug’s demo a night or two back, russ was begging him to put some drums through it, but he never did. I shall certainly be pointing russ this way- he’ll LOVE it!
@@walrtbstudios5430 Thanks Wal! 😀 👊 Yeah, I personally find it really useful on the "master bus' so to speak, so it can transform entire grooves. When I recorded the bits in the MPC Live to work with, though - I solo'd each track in the tracker's groove and recorded the individual elements out to work with so I could have a bit more control and finesse over them. 🤓🤓
Hey, awesome stuff, always keeping it fresh! Since you've busted out the Polyend Tracker it's been reminding me of when I started making techno music in the 90's on MODPlug. Have you seen any AUv3's that do this style of "Tracker Sequencing"?
Hey Hey! Thanks for watching! 😀 👊 I don't know of any AUv3 sequencers that work like this, but there is a tracker app for iPad: apps.apple.com/us/app/vividtracker/id758491913 I've not used it though, so I don't know how good it is. 😏
Hey Hey! 😀 👊 It's my first experience using any kind of "Tracker", and i'm really liking what it can do! 🤓 Especially, these little rolls and fills it lets you put in with a *ton* of variation of how they move the sound. (...trying to get better at chopping, glitching, and rolling with this to create really intricate rhythms! WOOT!) Thanks for watching!
@@ElectronisoundsAudio of course! I kinda figured the tracker experience would be fun for you... I think it's fun and of course totally unique to see it in a piece of hardware like that!
Same procedure as always, Dean: Before watching your video: Nah, don't need that. While watching your video: Hmm, wait... After watching it: Tapping on the app store icon automatically... resistance is futile!😜
Hey Hey, Leon! Thanks for the support! 🤗😁👊 Yeah, at first - I wasn't all that interested in just a Tape Stop effect, but quickly realized that this is so much more than that. I love how it can reshape an entire groove into something totally new and different. WOOT!! 👍
I do not own any Bleass apps but this one might be the first 😉. It reminds me of “Glitch Core”. Do you know that app? I would love to hear what you can do with it. And as allways. Great sound exsamples.... but you know that i love you grooves 😊
Hey Hey, Peter! Thanks for watching! 😁👊 I did try Glitch Core, but I found it put a little too much clicks and pops into everything I ran into it, and I did not gel with it. 🤔
You’ve got some amazing sounds here Dean.. everything from the Polyend Tracker + the MPC Live was top notch! Great ear + fantastic programming.. 👍 This Slow Machine app definitely has a few tricks up its sleeve.. Swing? That was pretty cool.. inspiring for sure.. the sequencer section looks like a lot of fun.. I think Bleass has another winner here.. thanks for the demo..
I have some Bleass apps, mean also use sometimes. Not sure will even download this one. While AUv3 is missing good sequencer that can be used cross DAW (IMHO), this is something quirky. I am not sure what im looking at and would not let some app to control my "grooves". Would rather make make mine. For which, again, I do not see any satisfying Sequencer in AUv3. Thanks for showing!
It's a tape stop, slow down effect, not a sequencer. (?) It's an audio effect, it is not controlling my grooves. (?) All the grooves in this video were made in the Polyend Tracker. This is an audio effect. It *tweaks* any audio you put it on. 👊
