Rough approach & aborted landing at Guernsey

In winds of 40mph+ a rough approach & aborted landing at Guernsey. The pilot circled & then made a 2nd attempt but at a few hundred feet had to abort as wind speeds were above safe limits for landing. An hour & a half after taking off from Southampton, we ended up back there & had a rough ride that end too as by then the winds had picked up. ATR 72-500 (72-212A) G-ISLI - 5th February 2014.
