Definitely a talented act. I just wish they would hire a righteous lead guitarist. Like Rocky George who knows shred and funk. That way Sean can truly dial in the Lennon genius. Just my .02
You got that right, both promote the dark ideologies of the late Alister Crowley. I can’t think of a song that John was credited with that had such a blunt message though. John would write about one occult subject at a time and he seemed to soften near the end with songs like watching the wheels but these guys call for the destruction of the earth in the first verse and quote the satanic handbook in the free verse at the end. I don’t think these guys will ever be as popular as Jesus though.

I wondered what happened to him. Catchy tune and he does look quite a bit like his Dad. And, to me, this track has a Beatlesque quality but is different (this is a huge compliment). And Les Claypool is a bit of an icon as well.
I've liked their redition of Court of the Crimson King for a couple years. I haven't been very excited about their original stuff yet. Not that I find fault in it, just isn't grabbing me yet. I loved Primus for a couple years in the early 90s, but have not been that big a Claypool fan since. I do however love their King Crimson cover however, and it's on my list of top ten covers of all time.
Love this!! I can't stop listening to the album. Sean's guitar work on this is awesome...he plays exactly what the song needs. And Les is, well, he's Les :).
todd shaw Les Claypool has some amazing projects, if you're interested in Pink Floyd do yourself a favor, and look up Les claypool's frog Brigade. It will blow your mind!!
Didn't see Les & Sean coming together, since 2015, eh? I've been outta the loop for sure. Wow, nice surprise!! This is fuck'n fantastic!! Great combo!! Can't wait to read or hear about how this collective creativity happened.
Dr. AwkwarD Lol~that was in part the acid pretty sure but back in the early 70z I experienced some really crazy stuff at a jTull show LA forum on acid what a trip 😎

@@UnderBarrowBog that was for Lee Van Cleef, right? Yeah that was a good one, gotta admit. I'd say that's the only exception though, at least as far as I've seen.
Is this pretty good? What are you comparing it to? Nothing he did was impressive. Mostly picking single notes of chords. I guess if all you listen to is boring bullshit you think average guitar playing is good.
*I am more impressed with Sean's guitar playing than his singing.... but I gotta say... not too shabby of a song... and always great to see Les... bravo*
Fantastic love it! Check out Sean's band the ghost of a saber tooth tiger for some really psychedelic stuff sounds just like his dad!!! Rock on Sean!!!!
Goodness, so Claypool-Lennon Delirium _wasn’t_ a one-off! I enjoyed their first collaboration (“Bubbles Burst” especially is genius), now I must give the new album a listen at once!! THANKS for uploading!
amplow they never do in a lot of these kinds of shows, they tend to just set up and play, for most people it works considering that they tend to require a normal setup
imagine how annoying it must be to have everyone you meet or who interviews you try to bring up your dad who was murdered in your early childhood sean is great and i have always been a claypool fan great music.
Sean Donnelly..... more like the shins. Elliott has more of soul and complexity than that. Look at a tab for son of Sam (which is the song you think it sounds like) it has like 50 chords in it.
Sounds like a lost track from the "Magical Mystery Tour"- album. Very good
i love how Sean looks like Yoko cosplaying John
Good one
As long as he doesn't sound like Yoko it's all good.
I'm stealing this
That’s their boy so he pretty much is
Hahahahaha
Being for the benefit of mr.Claypool
actually a better name for this band.
@@raoulduke3894 'cept it sounds too similar to Colonel Claypool's Bucket Of Bernie Brains.

There were some pretty Primusy tracks on the last CLD album.

This song is so damn good...I'd love to see how Paul McCartney would react to hearing it lol
@Agnostic Imperialist Ultra Nationalist this is pretty good man...to each their own
Love the 'She's So Heavy' vibes in the final movement.
Thank god Im not the only one who immedietly thought of 'She's so Heavy' when listening
Kind of reminded me of summertime by Janis
Im so happy someone else hears that too! Honestly this song reminds me of The Beatles and King Crimson collaborating in the Sgt Pepper's day.
Yep, I heard it, too ... ❤️
Papa Lennon would be proud. Like father, like son

Listen to their album Monolith of Phobos. This is definitely not the only song that sounds Beatlesesque.

absolutely great performance!!!
These guys are so good I watched a late show clip. That's saying something
What a band thank you so much
Sean was gonna make or break it. His voice is always so smooth and dandy. Needs to be more bands like this. Back to basics
Finally a band I know and want to listen to at the Late Show!

Very beautiful music. I loved it.
Sound guy does not know how to mix Claypool bass.
Yeah, not impressed either.
Too low. When Claypool plays, he's both rhythm and melody section. He's the front instrumentalist.
Great song tho.

It’s like they had a seance and summoned the spirits of John Lennon and Syd Barret
This is the roughest Lennon performance I've heard, which is saying something about the level of talent here..because it sounded amazing still.

Just saw this show.. Sean sounds exactly like his father. I keep hearing #9 dream.
Awesome I'm really happy to see that

Can’t wait to see them, Phish and TCLD this summer are bands I’ve never seen before that are a must for me.
Lennon seems to have taken George Harrison’s guitar style on board more than his dad’s!
It looks like he's got that Lennon strumming hand though

Elliot Smith vibe

Yeah the sound but without the soul. Otherwise Elliott would suck (2 t’s by the way)

Les' bass is too drowned out.
Backup vocals sound too loud. And if you're wondering about Sean's vocals, they're actually much clearer than the studio version.
