I agree with @Holmenater. I'm a firefighter as well, and always enjoy when property owners in our district call us to do controlled burns for them, whether they're elderly or just dont have manpower to do it themselves. It's always a joy watching how it moves and knowing where to light. Love your videos
When I was a kid (71 now), we lived in the country and there were lots of clear creeks and streams that we played and swam in and were on our neighbors' properties. We always took a trash bag to pick up trash, broken glass, whatever so we didn't get hurt and to keep it clean for our next visit. We also cleaned up branches and debris. The property owners appreciated our efforts and never minded our passel of kids using their property. I still pick up others trash, clean up in restrooms, etc. Always leave it beytwr than you found it!
I visited a friend in St. Augustine FL and we were on our way to dinner. She detoured to a beach. She handed me a bag and a pair of gloves. We spent an hour picking up trash. The disgusting thing was most of the trash was within 15 feet of big trash cans - if not closer. I was glad we did it but it was a hot day. I was sweaty and disheveled by the time we got to dinner. It was a tapas restaurant and everything was delicious.
Thank you for taking us along for the fire starting party! It's a good land management to start burning debris on the forest floor, as TX and CA are dealing with the mess. You know you, your family and the property will be safe from wildfires or at least manageable to keep them at bay during the hot dry seasons. Keep those contents coming!
I am not an expert, but you should video that. When it does turn green to show people, the good it does. Thank you for what you do and make god bless you and your family.
Hi Daniel Controled burning helps wildlife and helps prevent forest fires Appreciate what you do to keep people informed as to why you burn. God bless and love yall ❤❤
You did a great job burning off all that leaves and sticks. It looks so much better. The animals will really like it. Keep up the great job that you do
I believe God blesses us all with something. Being retired from horticulture , I was blessed to leave my thumbprint on the Earth. Daniel, your blessing is to rejuvenate the land !
Danial, you are a good steward of your properties. I live in one of those stupid states where they don't manage their forests. Fires can be terrible but it is the most natural way to keep control of the litter on the forest floor and prevent huge fires. In the MidWest which OK is a part of, before all the population and fencing etc, Fire was natural way for the prairies each year.
The land will be so beautiful when it comes back. Earl is a smart boy!! Thanks for taking care of the property to pass it on to your kids. Keeping land in the family is great
It’s Very Satisfying watching that controlled burn! Look forward to seeing the new green growth this Spring! Earl made an Adorable Fire Boss! You are a Great Steward of the Land! God Bless!
Thanks for looking out for the ecosystem. Your land will be really great late spring. Hunting will be really good this coming season. Like your management practices. God bless you and your family.
My uncle was the Fire Chiefin our little home town. He'd take us kid, put us in a safe area, and let us watch controlled burns. People who bought land with derelict houses on them would have the fire department burn them down. It gave rookie firefighters experience on house fires. They had competitions with firefighters from neighboring towns that were fun, too. I sure miss my sweet uncle.
@vgil1278 Gemma does her own thing and doesn't listen when called all of the time. Earl does a much better job and really just wants to be near Daniel all of the time so he is safer.
Daniel, This was a very interesting video. I have seen controlled burn fires but never realized how important it is for the ecosystem and for all the animals. Thank you for taking care of the land so it will be there for future generations. You did an amazing job. Blessings to you all. ❤️
Love the sound of fire burning. And I love how you take care of your land. Great job. Your burn boss Earl is doing a fantastic job. Stay safe. Love to all❤️
I really enjoyed watching the controlled burn and you maintaining your property. Excellent example for family and friends. Chad needs to get your help.
Hello Daniel, This is so filled with information. Reach out to Chad Doss. He is asking about if he should do a burn on his new 40 acres. I am so happy that you are doing what you love to do in looking after the land. Thank you so much for this video🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
'm on oxygen 24/7, and the first I saw the smoke where you guys were burning I started holding my breath for you. Thank you for the memories. Control the burns.
I've got to say, I'm 100% with you about that creek of yours! It's absolutely grand! Compared to the creek I grew up on, the word creek seems inadequate to describe the one you've got! It's awesome!
I have never been happier to hear you post anything. I have been terribly worried about all of you who are out there possibly near those other horrible fires.
Great video. I have to say that your sunglasses sure reflect back a much different view that reality. In the one scene it looked like you were driving into an inferno. I’m in San Diego, Ca and we have a couple of years of low rain amounts and we get ‘burn warnings”. We get a year of good rainfall and the next year we get “extreme burn warnings” because of all the new growth from the rains. My thoughts and prayers are with those in the Texas with the major wildfires. You’ve got to work with the land continually to stay safe. I’m glad you are doing your part for the watershed, the land and your family (and burning stuff make you feel in control - without being an arsonist). Thanks for sharing and you’ve got a great fire boss in Earl!
You have some really great memories with your friend Lindell. Y’all are very fortunate to have a friendship that’s lasted so long. And you’re still in each others lives. You’re both lucky. I can only imagine the good times you two have had. God bless you both.
Daniel I guess people have forgotten that over the past few years you have had your channel up you have done periodic burns on your properties. I can remember at least 3 years worth of burns.
Good job 🔥 And BTW as a native Republican Californian we live in the Sierra Foothills 30 min from the southern gate to Yosemite National Park. We run cattle and yes our forests are mismanaged for darn sure and we definitely don't agree with how our state is managed!! We are 4th generation on the ranch we are on has been in family for 104 years this year. California wasn't always like this we aren't San Francisco or Los Angeles. My family is originally from Guthrie, Ok. I am heading out to burn yet more down trees to clear fire danger and like you Daniel we love taking care of the land .. Keep on doing what you do loved watching the video you posted a bit ago when the kids were little and you all were fishing at the creek .. Houston was a cute little kid 😊 Well still is !!
Thank you Daniel for another great video! I really appreciate your dedication to wildlife management! By keeping undergrowth alive and thriving it insures the continued growth for wildlife!👏🤠😎
I wanted to say again how much I enjoyed the white bass fishing video yesterday. I enjoyed this video as well. Thanks for sharing a small part of your lives. Take care, have fun and God Bless you all!!!❤😊
Yes its not quite ready for release yet..but Daniel will video it as it has to be released where it was found..but its alive and building its strength up..the rescue place said he was probably just hours from death..apparently hadn't eaten or drank for days and was very very weak and dehydrated. So Daniel saved its life..🦉👍
@joanlovelace7338 NO problem.. when l have questions on things l see which I've missed l ask questions and always appreciate it when someone explains and gives me the info l missed so just doing the same..glad l can help👍🦉
Daniel, you are absolutely correct about burning. I live in Oregon and a few years back the State admitted if they had kept up with the clearing of the forest floor the fires would not have been as bad as it was. The farmers burn out the fields here to kill any unwanted growth and to enrich the soil after the season of what they have grown. It is better to clear because in the hot dry season the lightning will start fires like in California. There is a lot of forest on the west side of Washington, Oregon, and California. Beautiful country.
Since you want to teach/pass on land management & water management. Maybe you Houston & Jacoby could set a dateto go clean up local creeks. Others would volunteer too if you get the word out & it would make a great video. Although with so much land & doing all this you might not have the time for awhile & thats ok.
You are so right about the bad fires in California,Oregon all over. They didn’t take care of the land and look what happened. You are doing a great job. 🙏🏻
I installed a water tank and 3000 psi gas pressure washer to the water tank on a side by side ATV. That used as fire control works unbelievable. The pressure washer atomizes the water to extremely well and the tip pressure pushes the fire in any direction. Uses 2.5 gallon per minute. To increase the water capacity of the unit pull a trailer with a tote on it.
I was visiting friend in NM when my host showed me tumbleweeds in their back yard. They were higher than his chain link fence. He said they increased the risk of uncontrolled fires. I watched him set fire to themafter he created a safety zone on both sides of them fence. I was amazed at how quickly they caught fire and disappeared. The next day he sprinkled the ashes on his dormant garden.
Daniel deer& Creeks is a a LIFELINE I don't care who you are it is a lifeline to have a creek on your property no questions asked so much so to be done it should be a necessity for anybody who buys property in my opinion sustaining life is important and Creeks do help
I escaped from commiefornia, and my dad worked as a lumberjack and in a sawmill in the 60s. Commiefornia killed the logging industry and prevented property owners from clearing the underbrush on their own property, which led to the emense amount of underbeush that is fuel for the forest/wildfires that are running rampant and destroy billions of dollars of property, homes, parks, wildlife, and kills thousands of people that get trapped on roads and homes because the fire moves so fast. The wine country was devestated a few years back, and entire towns were burned to the ground.
As a fire fighter myself, we know why you have this love for fire. Every cop always, deep down, wanted to be a fire fighter ;) ❤
It was my first love I guess. 🤦🏻♂️
I used to be an EMT firefighter dreams also.
He wanted to be a hose dragged for sure. I drug one 2o years.
Yasss!!😂
😂
In Florida, the native blueberries won't fruit without fire. Done properly, fire is a lifeGIVER.
Thank GOD the Burn Boss (Earl) is a level headed professional when it comes to burning. hehehe
Brother love the rig. Many blessings

Me too! 😇
I also pick up cans and pick up litter..teaching grandchildren to do same
Ave always said leave it betyervthan you found it just common sense if you ever want to come back

Chad was talking about burning some of the leaves off of his new farm maybe you could help him as he said he don't know we're too start

Your controlled burns are some how relaxing. Thank you for sharing and educating about land stewardship. ❤
Change is good. I still enjoy watching. Keep doing what your doing😊

My dad only had us two girls, SO my job was burning . I'm 73 and I still LOVE doing burns. I enjoy watching these videos!!!
The land will be so beautiful when it comes back. Earl is a smart boy!!
Thanks for taking care of the property to pass it on to your kids. Keeping land in the family is great
OMG! How big Kelsey is already! ❤ And Earl is such a good dog- I love him 😍 He’s a smart Fire Boss

Earl the burn boss ,Tell them how Earl!😂 As a retired firefighter I a can appreciate your burning the way you do.

A lot of pinecones will not release the pine seed for a new tree, unless it reaches a certain high temperature
I love the crackle of burning leaves❤
Love watching all the expressions of Earl ! He looks like he understands everything you say! Great videos
I'm getting addicted to your burns they are mesmerizing 🔥
The fire by your pond was absolutely beautiful 😍 and it was great to hear the frogs❗️ 🐸
How peaceful that was around the pond and the prospect of a new beginning starting 😍 That's my kind of heaven!
Wow look how big Kelsey is she's growing up so fast love them all but Earl's my bud ♥♥♥
Love watching you take care of your property!!!😊
Gemma really tried to be the secret cargo!
Loved the way she tried to hide away from Daniel 😅
That was funny..
Why take one dog and make the other stay home?
@vgil1278 Gemma does her own thing and doesn't listen when called all of the time. Earl does a much better job and really just wants to be near Daniel all of the time so he is safer.
@@stacyantonovich9380 thanks for the explanation.

It's totally amazing to watch. I wouldn't be able to be anywhere close. I'm allergic to smoke!
Love the sound the fire makes keep up the good work with maintaining your land. Thank you for letting us hear the natural sounds.
Thought I was back at a campfire. Best sound/experience in the world.
Glad you care about the future of the land and water Daniel. Blessings to Arms Family 🙏🫶🙏🫶🥰

O, Daniel, I could listen to a complete video of nothing but the pond animal sounds. Really great.
I've got to say, I'm 100% with you about that creek of yours! It's absolutely grand! Compared to the creek I grew up on, the word creek seems inadequate to describe the one you've got! It's awesome!

I'm fairly sure they're pretty far from those fires. Thankfully.
Really enjoying the burn videos, can’t wait to see the after math this spring. And yes Ca. hasn’t done good Forrest management in decades.

Yes, Daniel, most people don't understand the terminology of burning and understand the importance of it.
Great job most enjoyable thanks. Chris from England
I get it. It’s good for vegetation and prevent wild fires. I think it’s sweet you bring Earl with you.
Good job and thanks for helping your friend do his burn aswell . It's necessary to be able to do this every couple of years.
Love the burn, at the end it the tree looked like a giant Roman candle!😮 🇨🇦
I surely hope people donate to this good cause. Thank you for taking care of the land.
Remember we all live in or near watersheds and you can become involved in local associations too.
Let us see a pic of you and your friend from back in the day!
You are so right about the bad fires in California,Oregon all over. They didn’t take care of the land and look what happened. You are doing a great job. 🙏🏻

Love your videos and enjoy watching them every time. May the lord bless and protect you and your family and the animals. Be Careful with burning
Hi watching from Adelaide Australia 🇦🇺
very much enjoyed it Daniel
Very first video I seen of yours was a controlled burn when "big foot" ran out of the timber!
I escaped from commiefornia, and my dad worked as a lumberjack and in a sawmill in the 60s.
