- Apocalypse is a 54m tall Drop Tower located at Drayton Manor that opened in 2000. Manufactured by Intamin, this intense drop ride features 5 different towers. In this video we share on ride footage from both the sit down and stand up towers on Apocalypse!

I am extremely heartbroken when I saw your last video saying this ride will be closing down. I only ever went on it once, but it is still my favourite ride in the park. RIP Apocalypse, you will be dearly missed throughout the community 🧡

I’m so glad I got on this today before the park closes it. I was absolutely petrified but the feeling in unmatched. Think it’s such a shame more people won’t be able to experience it throughout the years. Also sad to see it running on only one tower now.
Great footage Shawn, it's a shame they're only operating 3 towers for the remainder of its time at Drayton, I believe the other two are being used for parts (not confirmed)

I loved Apocalypse when I was there, I only hope that this ride will stay and they they will open all the sides on it like when I was there. Intamin makes drop towers like no other. Speaking of Intamin, I hope that you see the opportunity to come to Belgium this year. I did Kondaa front seat today and it's well worth it.

Omg I love this ride so much and every time I went I used to make up an excuse to not ride cause for me rollercoasters are fine but drop towers just no 😐 and is November last yeah I finally got the courage or should I say peer pressured 🤦♂️ and we were going up and I got so freaked out and at the top my friends were laughing at me but my face was utter horror. Omg I can not summarise the fear in me at the top tho but we just dropped and- well that was AWESOMEEEE

I haven’t been to Drayton manor in a while and last time I went I was a lot younger and I was too scared to ride this. I really hope the park don’t end up getting rid of it because it looks like such a great ride and I would love to get on it at some point

it for sure is worth it ! not saying i would do it again though and i have done many drop towers bungee jumps and rollercoasters but this was different apocalypse is the worse drop tower i’ve been on it made me feel like i was falling my my death and the siren noises don’t help it ! my heart was beating for a good ten minutes after riding it ! gives you adrenaline rush but not in a good way 😂 will never ride it again but it’s up there as one of the best ones i’ve done so far scary wise lol 😂 . i’ve done much taller and faster drop towers too but this is different ! my heart nearly dropped into my chest ! done it both standing with no floor and sitting with floor . sitting with floor in my experience was worse ! better standing and no floor x

Oh boy, the sound of those sirens alone is enough to bring memories back.. my sister has a keychain of this ride, I’m slumped in my seat knowing what comes next. Another time is that I went on this when it was chucking it down with rain and we fell alongside the raindrops.. I just hope this doesn’t face the same fate that awaited g-force and pandemonium.

Probably one of the most nerve racking flat rides in the country, wish we had more of them. Thorpe park would be a good fit or replacing ice blast at pleasure beach!

i’ve done bungee jumps and rollercoasters also done a lot of drop towers i always wanted to do Apocolypse but my partner would never come on with me. when my brother in ow came down we dragged him to drayton manor and i made him ride it with me !! needless to say i would never ever ride this ride again ! it made me feel like my heart dropped out my chest and i was falling to my death it’s a horrible ride most intense one i’ve done and i’ve done much taller ones x

I'm not a huge fan of drop towers although I love the tower of terror at disneyland Paris. Think it may be because the theming and being inside takes away the exposure fear?!

I just went on it and it's ALOTTT faster when it drops
I went on it yesterday and all I can say is that was the most horrible feeling I've ever had and u bet I'm never going back on that again, I'm still shocked that kids from the age of 5 or six going on this ride then came off giggling then there's my a 6,2ft 20 Yr old guy screaming murder
