I also use a leaf blower on the LT40 I work on, but that only does about half the job. It's really nice to have a Air compressor with a blow gun to really focus blowing air on those nook and crannies that need the extra attention to get clean. Great video.

WOW! Super awesome ladies on the care and maintenance of your equipment! The Boss done awesome teaching you all how to get the most out of your equipment. The pride, the attention to detail, the care and maintenance is just not something you see much of these days! Emerald, awesome job with the videos as well! You are not just showing the day to day operations of the family business, but your videos are very informative and educational! I'm trying to do something like you guys and looking for a used Wood Mizer. But they should take note as their sales and product line videos are not even as informative as yours! You guys keep rocking as you guys are the small business and type of family that makes this country what it is! God Bless!!!

Compressed air and a long hose works great for spotless clean up and saves a lot.

I apply the ATF with the end of an ,old sock putting a light film on the rails and posts. I think you are applying too much ATF by squirting it on the rails. That may be contributing to the sawdust buildup that you are experiencing. Don't forget to put ATF on the lower rail rollers. There is a small hole in each for access (I use a HF pump oil can for that). Compressed air also works great for removing sawdust from many places, I use a soft brush, daily, to remove sawdust from the rail rollers. I see that you have a Super, good luck and great videos.

I really like the red lubricating oil and the color of it matches the orange machine very nicely. Blue or green would never look so good on it.

Very nice ladies 👍🏻 I love seeing care and attention to detail like making sure the sawdust is clean from any joining surfaces and or moving parts. Also lubricating everything so it lasts.. your pride shows. Keep up the great work. See you on the next one 😃🌲 🔨

There is a felt wick located between the two vertical columns that will lubricate the upper rail. Just apply the ATF to the two holes in the top plate. Not a bad idea to remove the plate and add lots of ATF to the felt the first time you want to use it. After that just a few squirts before you start each time.
You're doing a great job and I enjoy watching your videos. Not too many young people want to actually WORK now. Good for you!

Our exact recipe is a secret lol but the trick is in having tons of red wigglers! We sell it with our garden bed kit.

You don't have to put oil directly on the rail. Between the two vertical post there is a metal strip with holes that covers the rail and there is a felt underneath that metal strip. You simply have to put oil trough those holes to soak the felt. On a regular basis, I remove the felt for a complete clean up and after I soak it completely with engine oil.

I have been watching you use the Pattern Mode because I don't see a waste material cut happening. Now, when I saw, I go to Patten mode on the last cut before I flip it to make the final square cut. Then the waste is in the slab and one less pass through the wood. That's how I think you are doing it. Am I close?

Hey here is a pointer, if you are using the mill practically every day then you should be using cheap cooking oil such as soybean oil as a lubricant in your oil can, it works remarkably well as a lubricating oil especially if it's going on something that gets used all the time, try it since it's not only cheaper than petroleum oils but also non toxic and renewable!.

might want to try lithium grease instead of atf, dust won't stick to lithium grease as much as regular grease and oil. it comes in regular tubes as well as in spray cans.
