The game wasn't so one sided, we had a ton of shots too, the defence/ defending really cost us the game. 1st goal: Gundo leaves Maddison to our defenders and tells them about it, but they don't hear him and Maddison scores absolutely unmarked. 2nd: After he lays it off for Son, Maddison runs freely around our defence and scores again without a challenge. 3rd: Solanke (again unmarked) would've scored, if the cross was better, and Porro scores also unmarked, because his marker Grealish returns from the center. 4th: Walker underestimated Werner's speed and left him acres of space on the left side, and then didn't manage to chase him down (I know that Walker is getting old, but that was just poor defending) Ake should never lose physically against Johnson (atleast in strength) , but he does and Johnson scores a simple finish.

The problem is beyond Rodri. Even if he was fit, City were always going to find it hard challenging again. They have 7 players over 30 and they've won 4 titles in a row so the hunger fades. Physically, they look like an ageing team. Mentally, they look tired

@@xatime2833 they're not just tired, some of them are simply finished at the top level. Gundogan wouldn't sniff the starting 11 at Barca right now. Walker at this point is useless, he only had pace left and now even that's gone. Others like Akanji and Ake had no business playing for City in the first place.
The game wasn't so one sided, we had a ton of shots too, the defence/ defending really cost us the game.
1st goal: Gundo leaves Maddison to our defenders and tells them about it, but they don't hear him and Maddison scores absolutely unmarked.
2nd: After he lays it off for Son, Maddison runs freely around our defence and scores again without a challenge.
3rd: Solanke (again unmarked) would've scored, if the cross was better, and Porro scores also unmarked, because his marker Grealish returns from the center.
4th: Walker underestimated Werner's speed and left him acres of space on the left side, and then didn't manage to chase him down (I know that Walker is getting old, but that was just poor defending)
Ake should never lose physically against Johnson (atleast in strength) , but he does and Johnson scores a simple finish.
City 0 goals from 2.15 xG, Spurs 4 goals from 2.5 xG. Supposed best finisher on the planet went missing again.
It wasn't just your defending, it was the terrible finishing too. I don't know if Pep needs to kick their asses or give them back massages, cause it's definitely not the tactics' fault when you lose 4-0 off a 0.35 xG difference.
