same thing when you get out of bush you always have a split second to jump you can either use Q quick before jumping while in ult or walk out of bush before jumping to have more reach with the jump.
R and walk in to auto range (not leap range). Auto attack the enemy (or minion or w/e) and then immediately Q and right click to a new target as soon as your first auto completes. There aren't many good times to use it but it does look cool lol.
