I would love to eventually buy an X-H3 with a 40 MP stacked sensor. Like many others, the only thing that keeps me from buying the X-H2 are concerns over rolling shutter. Please, when you finally publish your long-awaited in-depth review, please compare the rolling shutter with the likes of the Nikon Z9, Sony A1, Sony A7 SIII, Canon R5, Sony A7R V and, of course, other Fujifilm cameras. I don't need 8K, or a fast read sensor. What I need is a high resolution sensor, that can do 160mp multi-shot, so I can mount my camera on a tripod and get high-res landscapes. My other use will be senior pictures and weddings. I'm also not worried about rolling shutter, as my video uses never have panning. Hopefully it'll do this well, as I'm not sure how it's going to handle water reflections when the images are combined with they move. But we're gonna find out, I've got one on order. I'm sure it'll be a nice upgrade from my X-T3 which doesn't even have stabilization. For a moment I considered Fuji's GFX system, but this new H2 has 160mp multi-shot mode, if it works well, I can't see why I'd need a GFX and a whole new suite of lenses.
I think it would be interesting to compare 6.2k upscaled to 8k from the H2S vs 8k from the H2. I’m willing to bet the detail advantage may not be as high as some think it will be. I think most viewers would be hard pressed to look at upscaled 6.2k video and say hey that’s not really 8k. Even for those crazy reframing fans out there, kidding, 6.2k is still a lot of reframing potential. I personally would rather have 6.2k with super fast sensor readout, 14bit and the potentially better sensitivity. Even from a stills perspective 26MP is not a bad thing to have vs 40MP. Unless one really needs to crop their photos a lot as a normal process I don’t feel the added MP is worth the inferior sensor overall. In terms of over sampling 6.2K and 8k downscaled to 4K should be identical. Without a doubt Fuji is killing it right now. I moved from m43 to Canon R6 and RF mount a year ago but I’m really starting to wonder if that was a wise choice. It’s a nice camera but I really feel like the R6 just isn’t doing for video what Fuji does. I was also rather impressed with the Fuji lens options out there. I still worry about the long term market longevity of Fuji in a rapidly shrinking camera market. It’s hard to believe the market will support anybody but Sony and Canon. Plus FF is all the rage now and one wonders how much the industry wants APS-C much like if m43 still has a place. I don’t really want to invest a lot in Fuji glass if it just doesn’t survive. At least with Canon there is the perfect adapting of EF to RF mount. A lot of Canon DSLR, Canon cinema, BMD cinema and mr3 SpeedBooster users moved to EF glass a long time ago. That’s kind of why I went the Canon R6 route. Made the most sense for my EF lenses and it seemed more market safe.
R6 isn’t doing a lot for pro video but it’s still really good in terms of picture quality. And you can’t necessarily look at a Canon made in 2020 and be like why isn’t it as good as a Fuji made in 2022? Moreover, though they’re at a similar price, Fuji’s XH2s are a premium product, whereas Canon R6 is a midrange product. I feel like Canon always eventually gives people what they want; they just make you wait a bit. I suggest that people be happy with what they have and not worry too much about other systems, especially when every system has plenty of advantages.
R6 still a very capable camera in the right use. I love using the RF 100-400 that hated because the small aperture. It's my favorite other than the adapted EF20-35L and Tamron 35-150mm. Fuji or other systems don't have something close to my current set up. APSC/m43 low light is limited, and that's physics. E mount 35-150mm is too heavy for daily use. RF14-35L is too expensive; and Tamron 17-28 straight out colors are lacking IMO. Thus I stay on current setup for now.
@@zegzbrutal Oh I love my R6. Best camera I ever owned. I wish it could do open gate 5.4K or external raw video but other than that it’s a solid video camera. It gets a bad reputation in the video industry but it’s the only FF camera that can do over sampled 4K 60p without cropping or some crude pixel binning. I now work with only HDR and the HDR PQ on Canon cameras is simply amazing. Much better than HLG. I hardly ever shoot log anymore because the HDR PQ color and dynamic range out of the box is stunning on HDR displays. I get about 780 nit HDR which is close enough to a HDR 1000 workflow. With Clog-3 I can easily get to 1000 nits but it’s more work and it has more noise. I find working with the HDR PQ insanely easy in FCP and a 14” MBP with XDR display. So no matter what cool features Fuji may have I’m not leaving Canon for now.
I wonder how the older Fujifilm lenses, such as the 18-55mm or 55-200mm, will perform on this 40MP sensor or if the x-h2 will just be suitable for the 4 newer prime lenses.
The lenses project the image they do, a higher MP sensor just lifts the headroom. Some lenses have the sharpness to make full use of that, some only a little bit. Most lenses will benefit in the center and not in the corners. *In no case do they perform worse.*
Really the jump from 26 to 40 MP is not as much as it sounds. In order to double your resolution you have to multiply your current MP by 4. So to double the resolution of your photos you would have to have a 104 MP sensor. 40 MP will come in handy when you want to crop or if you are going to print really big and stare at that print from a really close distance. I would not worry too much about the 40 MP out resolving your current lenses unless you plan to do some serious pixel peeping. Personally I prefer to make photographs.
I'm very excited for this body. I'd love to see how the higher resolution sensor performs in low light and how it's well/poorly it's eye autofocus works.
Not how it works anymore. Manufacturers have embargo on reviewers telling them how much information they can release and when they can release it. The latest trend is to release information a little bit at a time to try and keep the hype up. I don't like it but it must be working because they all do it.
Should have comparison tests with the 2S, the color production from the 5 HR & 40MP is nice. In photo and video, maybe they both produce very different looks.
Miss those reviews that you guys shot in the city (XT3, XT30, etc). All those urban backgrounds looked so cool! Please go back and shoot your next review in the city!😎😎😎
There's a lot of cameras out there that people are not aware of. This video gives more information for those who are looking for the latest tech in cameras but for most of us I think we're pretty happy with our IPhones and know that if you don't have a real camera you're not going to be missing out on anything in the real world.
This looks like an amazing travel camera. I can use the 50mm f1.0(or the new 56mm f1.2) for portraits. 16-55mm f2.8 is wonderful zoom for this camera. 33mm f1.4 is great 40 megapixel will go a long way for cropping. Can easily use the 150-600mm for wildlife. Really the only short coming I see is no matching card slots. Maybe low light for indoor events? As we don't have something like a sigma 18-35mm f1.8 type lenses.
So if Fuji is stating you can output 8K Blackmagic Raw at up to 29.97p from a Video Assist recorder, yet none of the current Video Assist models support 8K....does this confirm there will be a new and improved Video Assist coming soon, like a Video Assist+?
Seems like Fujifilm is going the Sony routes, X-H2 being the a7R route, and X-H2s the a7S route. As a Fuji X-T4 I am just waiting to see what the X-T5 will become. Not that I intend on buying any new cameras for the foreseeable future XD Great preview!
Can you please PLEASE do a comparison of this new 56mm lens and the 50mm f1.0 lens? Specifically a comparison about the amount of light they let through? I want to know how close this new 56 comes to the 50. I already own the 50 and the old 56 APD, and based on how bright the new 56 is, I might replace both of them with it.
Thanks guys! It would be great if you could compare this to the X-T4. Why, because this camera has been out for a while (I'm still shooting the X-T3) so the people looking at the X-H2 are probably looking to upgrade from one of the previous models. Personally, I have been considering moving up to a full frame camera for the added resolution and amazing eye auto detect that other systems offer. Since I primarily shoot wildlife and macro those features are important to me. (crop, crop, and crop some more.) However, the cost involved to switch systems is outrageous and unless a full frame camera is 45mp + it doesn't seem to be worth it to me. This new Fuji may just keep me invested in the APS-C format a bit longer... Cheers, Greg
I'm in the same boat as you. Thinking of upgrading to FF but no way I can afford the switch. This 40 MP sensor is very tempting and I could keep all of my lenses.
I'm curious how good the IBIS is. For instance, can you take a handheld 1/2 second exposure at sunset, to capture it at a fairly low ISO, without an image stabilized lens? Thus, can you take full advantage of the 40 Mp details in low light, handheld scenarios?
I tried the fujifilm Xh-2 in tokyo fujiflm X summit of september 10, the additional setting if you shoot JPEG in this camera fujifilm Xh-2 is for portrait that it can set the subject skin smoother, can be light effect or much more pronounce effect of that skin smoother effect and can edit raw files in camera.
I've waited so long for the XH2. Now its here...... i can see its way too advanced for me in so many ways. 😄 Off for a photo walk in a minute with my XT3..... that'll do me. 😄👊🙂👍
Will you be comparing aspects of the X-H2 to older X-series cameras too? The rolling shutter and dynamic range might be less than the X-H2s but if they are still a significant upgrade over, for example, the X-T3 and X-T4, it would still be a great camera to step up to.
@@mribi I'm a little disappointed that, four months after release, there barely are any comparisons even for thr X-H2s. A friend of mine got one but I'm not a reviewer. I still plan on doing some tests on my own with it for an upcoming project where we pool camera tech.
The comparison with the XS10 is very simple: that one lacks the autofocus capabilities and has a 24 megapixel sensor and less buttons to customise. It is also less than half the money, size and weight. You wouldn’t have bought the XS10 if you shoot a lot of sports or wildlife or if you are heavy into video. The XS10 is the perfect stills machine if you prioritise weight and size without compromising photography quality and when you are not married to separate dials for exposure and iso and if you are not using big telephoto lenses all the time.
400mp at 15fps in jpeg only simply doesn't stop. I LOVE seeing the box actually tracking birds in flight and sometimes also finding the eye!. Being able to set the custom settings to exactly what I need for this kind of shooting is a great boon that I first discovered on the X-S10. Now I have SEVEN slots to fill:) With this burst rate, I see my hard disk needing a LOT more space. Best camera I've ever had in my hands.
Any info about 1) the use of L bracket with flippy screen ( I would have preferred the tilt screen of X-H1); 2) any breakage history for the flippy screen hinge (with it hanging off the the side, could easily get caught on anything or incompletely stowed) 3) any one step work-arounds for having to menu dive for focus selection for continuous, single, manual (instead of the single step of selector turn). I'm bumbed out by these differences.
Hello from Montreal, thanks for sharing another wonderful video like always, I bought the Canon R7 after I saw your review, now I am very interested in getting a Fuji also 😁👍
Looking at the detail in the grass I remember shooting my newly released Canon 5D Mark II in the hills of northern California and wondering why it looked like crap. I knew the lens had the resolution...back then adding sharpness in landscape was a thing. Until you looked at it. Back then I barely knew anything about video, but I managed to fake it.
This would be the sensor going into the rest of the line up. Not sure why they had to make two XH2 bodies. XH2 could've been the stacked one while XT could've been this one.
@@DeepteshLovesTECH - Ergonomics and the dials I'm assuming. X-T line is definitely the retro look with manual iso/shutters speed/etc dials that fans of the lineup love.
@Random Thought honestly I don’t know that the manual dials on XT series is 100% a vanity/hobby feature. It’s a huge asset whenever I’m in any kind of situation where I’m not 100% full-time photographing, but need to be able to quick-draw to get the shot on short notice. Reportage and naturalist is the primary use case, and that’s where I find the most pro value from it personally. But I can see the same for If I’m a park ranger on the watch for poachers, a spotter on the coast of Ukraine, cop or other community defense professional and need to snap events with photographic detail. If I was on a flight to the war tomorrow it’s a hard choice for me between an XT4 or an A7s3 for which camera does a better job of keeping me alive and not getting me killed when my head’s down at the wrong moment.
Good first review. When official body is available, I would appreciate a comparison between the AF performance of the H2 and H2S. For me the 15 fps mechanical is plenty fast. If the AF performance is the same between the two, I'll take resolution over speed I don't really need any day. The fact the H2 non-S is cheaper is the icing on the cake.
That rolling shutter! Oof. That answers why it doesn't have (my new must-have) 4K120... because it truly cannot read out fast enough. Bummer. I'll be waiting on the X-H3/X-T6 I guess...
I just came from Camera-Kai's youtubey preview of the H2 to see what the Dpreview boys might additionally add here, but I thought about Kai's parting comment - What is the XT-5 going to add to the lineup apart from a shutter/iso/compo dial? Is that enough? Heck and I don't even like PSAM dials..
They still do… except when they are testing something that has not been announced yet (which I assume is the case with this video, other than the shots in the middle which were clearly labeled as being shot on the X-H2.)
Who else was impressed by the processing speed of the high res 160mp file? That was almost as fast as the OM-1's 50mp handheld high res processing time!
The X-H2 only takes the photos during that time, they need to be combined later on a computer. The OM-1 creates a high res file in camera, which we far prefer.
@@dpreview oh, then that is very disappointing. That is a very long time to just take the photos and do zero processing. So it is like the A7R4, you need to combine the photos afterwards in post. Also, will you guys do an update on the OM-1 review? If you need a unit, I'd gladly lend mine if you guys are in town (BC Vancouver) :)
Thank you for this early look at a long awaited camera for yours truly here. 👍 A couple of questions: 1. Is there a True 24.00p setting for video, or is it only a fractional frame rate of 23.976 ? 2. Can you shoot ProRes in the 8K video resolution mode ?
This has to be the maximum resolution that can be realistically fit into an APSC sensor with lenses actually able capture all that resolution. May be lens design improvements can bump the res further...
@@captainkirk3000 Well yeah, but those phone sensors don't come close to actually being able to resolve this, due to the limitations of the glass in front of them. High megapixel counts on phone cameras are mainly a marketing tactic to scam rubes.
I am kinda thinking the "s" stands for speed. Right now we spend $4500.00 to get the total package because obviously, they know some people will buy one of each.
Fantastic review as always! Would love to see the X-H2 do some 1:1 macro shooting and cropping down to produce tighter shots. Could be really nice for people who crop a lot (me).
Also curious about macro and stacking capabilities, wonder if 40mpix sensor won't make diffraction to kick earlier at 1:1 and 2:1, with sony 24mpix max aperture without loss of resolution is F8.
What an awesome camera for the price. 15 fps is still more than enough for action packed photography. Sure you may miss a shot here or there, but is it worth 500 more? This has more pdaf poins than the xh2s for what it's worth. Rolling shutter isn't an issue for me, I don't record video anyways, this is just everything I want and for 500$ more than the r7, it's a steal for the features

Why did they take away all the manual controls on the body. That was the greatest thing about Fuji xh1. Crafting images with manual controls is just glorious.

Really interested in knowing if the non stacked sensor handles film simulation as well as the stacked sensor. Fuji has xt200, xt100 series cameras with non x trans , non stacked sensors. And they don't produce those fuji colors !! So sceptical.....
Just curious......if having a non-stacked filter is so detrimental to fast and accurate autofocus then how are Sony and Canon killing everyone else with their big slow sensors? Maybe Fuji should figure out what sort of witchcraft Sony and Canon are using and just copy that. I suspect it has more to do with processing power than the speed of the sensor readout. Maybe it has to do with the X-Trans CFA? If so they should ditch it in favor of lighting fast autofocus tracking.
Sony has disgusting amounts of cash to dump into AI for autofocus. Canon makes their own sensors and they are veterans with enough resources. The camera/imaging department of Fujifilm doesn't have the same level of R&D budget. Fujifilm has stopped being a camera company long long ago.
Hey guys. Love your content! When you do get to do a full and proper test of the X-H2, I would appreciate (if you have the opportunity to include), testing (or at least investigating) the effective aperture limit due to diffraction given the new 40 megapixel sensor. Thanks again!

X-H2 is probably the camera I upgrade to from the X-T3 when it dies but I’m still not expecting to change for another 2 or 3 years.
I’m tempted too. Maybe next year. Saving for it but Fuji might put something out that’s better. You never know.
I'm very excited for this body. I'd love to see how the higher resolution sensor performs in low light and how it's well/poorly it's eye autofocus works.
I was hoping to find out about IBIS and autofocus in video
Not how it works anymore. Manufacturers have embargo on reviewers telling them how much information they can release and when they can release it. The latest trend is to release information a little bit at a time to try and keep the hype up. I don't like it but it must be working because they all do it.
@@JHuffPhoto thanks for explaining it
3:13 I think you swapped the fps between cameras on the graphic, yes?
Should have comparison tests with the 2S, the color production from the 5 HR & 40MP is nice. In photo and video, maybe they both produce very different looks.
Great options with Fuji! Wonderful work from you guys!
I will wait for X-T5 and compare these two for photography..better said, my needs
welcome back from vacation chris
33mm f1.4 is great
40 megapixel will go a long way for cropping.
Can easily use the 150-600mm for wildlife.
Really the only short coming I see is no matching card slots.
Maybe low light for indoor events? As we don't have something like a sigma 18-35mm f1.8 type lenses.
Isn't it heavy ?? Do you think they will soon release updated compact size camera ?
I use my Sigma 18-35 with the adapter and auto focus fantastic.
@@bitronicc1887 best comment by far.
Where's the full review?
XH2 is a very competitive camera for the features and price at $2k. I'm curious how my old lenses will make use of the 40mp sensor
The 40mp sensor will be very unforgiving of older lenses
Gonna look like mayo smeared on lens
Mistake in description at 3:15
Mistake is in the GRAPHIC.
@@tonyadamis4171 You are right. My bad.
Fujifilm truly loves us
So if Fuji is stating you can output 8K Blackmagic Raw at up to 29.97p from a Video Assist recorder, yet none of the current Video Assist models support 8K....does this confirm there will be a new and improved Video Assist coming soon, like a Video Assist+?
That's what I've been trying to find out. I hope so. Braw is amazing
I really like the footage from this camera.
Morning all, will the Final review be coming for the xh2 I’m waiting for you guys before choosing between the S5ii and this camera
Seems like Fujifilm is going the Sony routes, X-H2 being the a7R route, and X-H2s the a7S route. As a Fuji X-T4 I am just waiting to see what the X-T5 will become. Not that I intend on buying any new cameras for the foreseeable future XD
Great preview!
Was waiting for this during the livestream lol
Excited for the higher resolution!
VERY interested in how good/sticky eye AF is with the 2 vs 2S. I personally don’t care about high gps.. just want those glossy wet eyeballs.
You ask this everywhere. Just get better and you don’t have to rely on eye af as bad.
@@DeeRosa haha hero
want to hear more about the new 56mm
I'm waiting for the comparison between the X-H2 and the X-T5 :-)
Cheers,
Greg
Amaazing price to performance ratio
I've waited so long for the XH2. Now its here...... i can see its way too advanced for me in so many ways. 😄
Off for a photo walk in a minute with my XT3..... that'll do me. 😄👊🙂👍
Would love to see the final review!
Did they ever do it? I can't find it.
great review. would like to see more about the body design and usability
Will you be comparing aspects of the X-H2 to older X-series cameras too?
The rolling shutter and dynamic range might be less than the X-H2s but if they are still a significant upgrade over, for example, the X-T3 and X-T4, it would still be a great camera to step up to.
Add on the XS10 for comparisons as well.
Yep, as an x-t4 shooter I’d love to see both of these new cameras compared to that
@@mribi I'm a little disappointed that, four months after release, there barely are any comparisons even for thr X-H2s.
Fiji was my first mirrorless. Would take a lot for me to go back from Sony but man this is impressive
Also tempted by FujiFilm, but man I do love my f/1.2 and f/1.4 glass 😭
400mp at 15fps in jpeg only simply doesn't stop. I LOVE seeing the box actually tracking birds in flight and sometimes also finding the eye!.
Being able to set the custom settings to exactly what I need for this kind of shooting is a great boon that I first discovered on the X-S10. Now I have SEVEN slots to fill:)
With this burst rate, I see my hard disk needing a LOT more space.
Any thoughts on what this means for the X-T line of bodies?
@@The_CGA ever try setting the top dials to the scrolling command dials? A lot faster.
Probably the XT5 will get the XH2 sensor but not the CFExpress card, no 8k, no ProRes and they are good to go.
Good first review. When official body is available, I would appreciate a comparison between the AF performance of the H2 and H2S. For me the 15 fps mechanical is plenty fast. If the AF performance is the same between the two, I'll take resolution over speed I don't really need any day. The fact the H2 non-S is cheaper is the icing on the cake.
what did you end up going with? Ive heard the xh2s has SLIGHTLY better AF, doesn't seem like its worth the extra $500 to me.
I would love to see how the production version does with low light performance (photo)
Hope the XT-5 is an X-T4 with the new sensor and other stills improvements.
For the upcoming photo review: Are you going to have a look at diffraction with the high pixel density?
What camera did you guys use to shoot this video? You guys used to disclose that information at the beginning.
They still do… except when they are testing something that has not been announced yet (which I assume is the case with this video, other than the shots in the middle which were clearly labeled as being shot on the X-H2.)
@@Jeff_St_John Interesting. So that means that gorgeous image is from a mystery soon-to-be-released camera.
Do you HAVE to use a CF Express card or can you use two SD cards with this camera?
Would love to see this camera tested for low light wedding photography against the Canon R6
As always, great video!!
@@HokKan Thanks for the offer! We have a production OM-1 on the way to us now so we can complete the final video review.
@@dpreview so exciting!
Fast subjects..... and you show a video of Chris? (Love you both)
I'm carrying a but more luggage these days! 😁
There are phone sensors with over 50mp. This isn't even close to maximum.
@@captainkirk3000 Well yeah, but those phone sensors don't come close to actually being able to resolve this, due to the limitations of the glass in front of them. High megapixel counts on phone cameras are mainly a marketing tactic to scam rubes.
Does fuji have any plan for more compact size body like xs 10 traveler's dream camera. Successor to xs 10 i hope this is also on the line🤞
All these apsc new bodies have a large gfx type body. I'd rather have the medium format camera. So much for size saving going apsc
In the Braw support, does it support it only in to 30fps or it can be changed to 24 or 25?
I am kinda thinking the "s" stands for speed. Right now we spend $4500.00 to get the total package because obviously, they know some people will buy one of each.
Fantastic review as always!
Would love to see the X-H2 do some 1:1 macro shooting and cropping down to produce tighter shots. Could be really nice for people who crop a lot (me).
Also curious about macro and stacking capabilities, wonder if 40mpix sensor won't make diffraction to kick earlier at 1:1 and 2:1, with sony 24mpix max aperture without loss of resolution is F8.
very cool - thanks for the detailed update…
Great video quality can you tell us what Codecs you shot it in and what AF mode?
There is no other side to XTrans. XTrans is objectively superior for this application. I’ll easily talk down anyone who thinks otherwise.
The graphic at 3:15 is wrong, it says opposite of what Chris is saying about electronic shutter speeds.
I would love one but , I had an XT4 and it would shut down with small light drizzle 🌧 while I was in Costa Rica 🇨🇷. It held well in the humidity and heat but would shut down with light rain on it..
That seems like a problem with your camera. Ive shot with my xt4 in the pouring rain without a problem
@@iliaspatlis really? Yea I lost faith with it after that.
Well...
My first impression of this vid was: "o, they really should Think about there outdoor clothing while making it". How we dress for shooting is a matter for a different vid. But I'd choose fast drying outdoor pants, water and stains replent- and not my best pair, for it might get a nasty surprise and be rulend.
As for the camera: fuji had always been innovative. Sometimes i feel they are the 'underestmated member' of the photography world. 39 years ago, My first camera was a pen ee-3 that doubled the amount of pics on one film. there shares had mad enormous value over the last years , beating all other companies and highly valued canon & nikon. i belive we are going to see a very good product and it might be my second camera.
As for crop definition, its the classic nature photographer wet dream and id love to see its real- world examination.
Why did they take away all the manual controls on the body. That was the greatest thing about Fuji xh1. Crafting images with manual controls is just glorious.
A body with the 40MP sensor and manual controls will be along (XT5?), but this is more aimed at Pros who want the faster interface...
@@JonInLondon pros just aren’t going to buy this camera. Ppl who bought the xh1 wanted a manual control xt4 with a bigger grip.
@@gasken2182 I think you'll find they will, lots of Pros don't have large budgets and value-for-money solid/reliable cameras that can get the job done will work for them. Or as a second camera. With the slower/different UI it's too close to where an XT5 will most likely be and the cheaper one would steal sales, which is not what you want in business.
@@JonInLondon they really won’t. Still shooters will buy second hand FF Sony. Video shooters will by the ‘s’ or Panasonic ect. This product is dead at launch.
@@gasken2182 I disagree, but let's wait and see...
All I can think of is how this will trickle down to the X-T5.
So this X Trans sensor is supposed to prevent or significantly remove moire? What current fuji lenses can resolve 40mp?
Gah! How do the files look? Can Fuji lenses cope? Give us the initial deets!!
Hey guys. Love your content! When you do get to do a full and proper test of the X-H2, I would appreciate (if you have the opportunity to include), testing (or at least investigating) the effective aperture limit due to diffraction given the new 40 megapixel sensor. Thanks again!
8K video on APS-C sensor!
What is best way to minimize rolling shutter when shooting in 8k?
Hope Fuji adds 4K 120P later
For real, not having 8k30 and 4k120 in the *same camera* is going to bite them in the ass
@@Vinterloft Also, let's hope they don't do something like 8K 24/23.976 max and forget about 25fps. That always makes me crazy.
I have noticed stuttering on every movie setting I have used while panning slowly. I'm using a fast CFast card and have tried on different computers but still showing the same problem. It's there with IBS on or off. Other X-H2 owners have noticed it. Have you?
When to add xh2's raw/JPG/video sharpness reference
Does the XH2 have the option of a 65x24 aspect ratio?
Huh, 1.5 * 1.29 = 1.94, or almost 2x crop factor. This could be a way to get 8K video and shoot MFT crop factor for stills with relatively compact lenses. MFT seems unlikely to deliver 8K anytime soon.
Video AF is really what I'd like to know about - good enough to use on unrepeatable shots?
Also a number for the rolling shutter please...
All coming once we get a production model.
