"The Easternaires were a quartet in the Barbershop Harmony Society (SPEBSQSA). Between 1956 and 1970, they earned three medals in the International Quartet Contest, rising as high as 4th place. " Yet, they lingered even after, and even before, as a Top Ten Quartet, and they had a very storied history, like filling in for the Bills for the Music Man on Broadway. Yet, even though the Sun-Tones worshiped the Bad Boy moniker, they never came close to the Easternaires. Thank you, Jesus, for all the folks who told the copyright guys to suck a lemon. That this should be lost to posterity is painful to contemplate.
This version of the "Easternaires'" was Eddy Ryan singing the tenor melody, Danny Heyburn singing lead part harmony, Bob Bohn (the arranger of this song) and Jim Jones on bass,( who previously sang with the"Buffalo Bills " after Bill Spangenberg left).
Yes there is!! Eddy Ryan released and album of the Easternaires entitled “Slightly Different” which has a live recording of them singing that song with Bill Annicharico on bass!
Tears... this is beautiful! Must transcribe haha

The photo seen here was from the 1950's with Danny Heyburn on tenor, Bill Anicherrico on bass , Tommy Danes on lead and Bob Bohn on Bari.
These guys are class, is there any recording of them singing Gigi?

Who's singing the solo/melody? Outstanding!!
Eddy Ryan, the Tenor.
Any idea where this arrangement can be found to purchase?
Sadly, I don't. I would imagine the Barbershop Harmony Society in Nashville would have it in their archives.
