MUSE was in attendance for a 30-minute press conference to talk with the cast about the upcoming CREED II which is in theaters on November 21 at ComplexCon in Long Beach, CA.
In attendance was Michael B. Jordan, Florian Munteanu, Steven Caple Jr., Corey Calliet and moderated by Terrence J.
In 1985, Russian boxer Ivan Drago killed former U.S. champion Apollo Creed in a tragic match that stunned the world. Against the wishes of trainer Rocky Balboa, Apollo's son and current champ Adonis Creed accepts a challenge from Drago's son -- another dangerous fighter. Under guidance from Rocky, Adonis trains for the showdown of his life -- a date with destiny that soon becomes his obsession. Now, Creed and Balboa must confront their shared legacy as the past comes back to haunt each man.

Hearing Florian say that what Viktor wants is to make his father proud...that hit me inside. That gives Viktor Drago a heart. He might be a "beast" of a fighter, but he is not "a monster" and I love that. It means (to me) that Viktor loves his father and wants to give him something to "hold on to" for all the things Ivan felt he lost.
Another facet of it too could be that Viktor could be feeling a lot of pain of his own...for instance if he feels like he can't make his father proud no matter how hard he tries.

I think the movie will be balanced. Drago is also like Creed. Just looking for redemption for their father.
Chris Santiago- Michael B. Jordan did say in an interview that Creed II is not just a story about revenge and that Viktor Drago has a story of his own that is, to use Michael's word for it: "layered".

Well the first thing I would suggest is to change the damn title so it doesn't sound misleading
I feel Dragon's son might turn out to be a character that really wants to live another kind of life but was forced into the life boxing by his father and therefore has a kind of metal issue.
Now why does this sound like it will be a similar premise to the Dragonball Super Broly movie lol
He may have wanted to become an artist but got forced into boxing and ivan Drago must've took his loss pretty hard and took his anger and frustration out on him

There's a small clip I saw in the trailer where Adonis was in the hospital beaten and bruised looking delirious. I wonder did he lose the fight and they had a rematch?

I'm thinking Adonis fights Danny Wheeler first (the guy Adonis lost to in the first movie during a sparring match) and wins with ease this time.
That's the reason why Viktor Drago challenged Adonis because he had the championship belt from Wheeler.
Of course Adonis gets knocked out by Drago because he don't listen.
So yes there is going to be rematch just like in Rocky 3.
