Shows how Wanda quickly gained the upper hand and her Chaos magic was overpowering Captain Marvel's Photon blast. I love that little detail. The orange curve towards Wanda morphing into a red curve towards Captain Marvel lets you know who was really in charge there.

i really loved this fight scene. i can tell Wanda struggled for a bit than any of the other characters she fought in this movie. another reason is because of how creative this fight scene is and that most people don't understand how Cap Marvel died by getting crushed by a statue

Also, 838 Wanda showed to have shields that can block projectile blasts, like when she destroyed the Ultron bots and blocked all their shots, so she can block Captain Marvel's blasts. Also, 838 Wanda can siphon off Carol's powers like she did to Maria. And, we see 838 Wanda combating Captain Carter, showing she can fight up close, too. So, no, 838 Wanda could beat Carol, too. She's got the reaction speed, skill set, combat and power to bring Carol down.

First, she has the power of radiant energy and that alone should have been able to disperse Wanda's shield, also during the last moment when Wanda was using the spell on her, that was the moment CM should have been absorbing it but they nerfed her just to make Wanda win. CM ten times stronger, faster, and with physical durability but yet she get knocked out of the fight for a minute from one small part of a building when she can fly through ships unharmed..lol. Out of all the members of the Illuminati, this CM is the only one who made Wanda struggled by a bit, other heroes like Reed, BB, and Capt Carter were taken out too easily. Doubt it. Photons are light speed and 838 Wanda literally caught 4 Photon blasts in the entire fight, showing she's got light speed reaction speed. Also, 838 Wanda showed to have shields that can block projectile blasts, like when she destroyed the Ultron bots and blocked all their shots, so she can block Captain Marvel's blasts. Also, 838 Wanda can siphon off Carol's powers like she did to Maria. And, we see 838 Wanda combating Captain Carter, showing she can fight up close, too. So, no, 838 Wanda could beat Carol, too. She's got the reaction speed, skill set, combat and power to bring Carol down.

i think it’s because agatha grew up around witchcraft. she’s used to hexed things and evil charms more than wanda, so she would’ve most likely put up a defense spell of some kind. whereas wanda, just found out she’s an all powerful witch lol, she was kinda gullible, but w reason! there’s a whole chapter about her in there

838 captain marvel was realy different from carol danvers because if you watch the movie captain marvel you will see how carol danvers was more experience in terms of battles. we cannot tell that captain marvel well get defeated easily by scarlet witch although scarlet witch has proven itself to be powerful enough to defeat an entire coven of sorcerrers in kamartaj.

Wanda DIDN'T ABSORB Captain Marvel's POWERS she simply SIPHONED and condensed them into a ball then exploded it.
Maria's powers aren't magical to be easily absorbed by Wanda, if they are it doesn't make sense for Wanda to spend hours trying to absorb America's powers but 1-2 secs with Captain Marvel (And this Wanda's supposed to be WEAKER than OG)
Maria isn't stupid she STOPPED GLOWING because she realized she was feeding into a bomb of her own power AND the moment she noticed the bomb Maria stopped beaming and Wanda exploded it immediately to avoid Maria coming up with something different.

Here is the flaw people, CM can absorb magic. They nerfed her. First, she has the power of radiant energy and that alone should have been able to disperse Wanda's shield, also during the last moment when Wanda was using the spell on her, that was the moment CM should have been absorbing it but they nerfed her just to make Wanda win. CM ten times stronger, faster, and with physical durability but yet she get knocked out of the fight for a minute from one small part of a building when she can fly through ships unharmed..lol. The defender of the cosmo's is beaten so easily in seconds..come on. We all know this movie was just made to go in Wanda' favor but was not accurate.

I said the same thing, Maria should've just siphoned her powers back the moment wanda started to absorb them. We have to remember this was a Dr. Strange movie that features the scarlet Witch. Everyone else is cannon fodder, Captain Rambeau should've have died in this, sorry not sorry. Same with Black Bolt, and Professor X, also she could've rolled over while that statue was falling but she forgot she wasn't durable anymore. Too bad the incursion destroyed this universe after.

You can see that Wanda siphoned off Captain Marvel's powers, then shot them back at her, causing the explosion. She essentially stripped away Captain Marvel's superhuman durability.
Magic is right under the infinity stones in terms of power when mastered. Short of using one on her, like the reality stone, Maria wouldn't stand a chance. Neither Captain Marvel would.

This scene was equal parts hilarious and ridiculous. Dialogue is cringe, and Wanda killing Maria with a rock is beyond stupid. And for those who are going to say she drained maria’s powers, their powers aren’t even remotely the same. One is cosmic and the other is magic. One argument I heard was that captain marvels powdered up form is binary or something, so maria should win. The cherry on the cake is that Monica let Wanda off the hook in WandaVision only for her to kill an alternate version of her mother.

Like, she drained it from Captain Marvel's body, then shot it back at her offensively, which caused the big explosion, throwing them apart, which is why it was an orange explosion, for the Photon blast, instead of red, for Chaos magic. Basically, Captain Marvel got her power stolen, then got Mayweather'd with her own power. LOL.

Out of all the members of the Illuminati, this CM is the only one who made Wanda struggled by a bit, other heroes like Reed, BB, and Capt Carter were taken out too easily.
I'm not saying CM matched Wanda's powers, but Wanda did struggle there by a bit. And this version of CM is a bit, dumber than our MCU CM. She easily underestimates Scarlet Witch, if that's CM of our MCU she wouldn't engage a fight that quickly

Wanda was absorbing her power as you can see when captain marvels mask deteriorated. She drained her and Maria couldn't muster strength to at least move out of the way from the statue thus ultimately rendering her a normal human being capable of bring crushed from the statue.
