It was the biggest change I made as a junior and the result was having a serve as a weapon as opposed to a liability. You're on it Peter! Thanks for watching.
This is one I will replay and then practice until it permeates my thick skull. I have strong legs, but I never seem to use them properly on the service motion, ending up "arming" the serve with predictably bad results.
Thanks! I was missing that lift of the torso on my back swing, so there was no space for my body to move up and into on the forward stroke.!! The serve is so complex, such a great puzzle.
This is a real mind fck to correct but can happen faster than you think. This was the first thing my instructor pointed out to me. He had me simulate a toss and serve while on both knees. Only took a few hours of practice in game setting, now its natural, and what a difference it has made. Thanks for the upload.
Hi Nate, do you know of some exercises to improve my quickness and also my coordination and focus between my eyes and hand? I saw a player, in an ATP tournament, do these exercises with a coach, before going on the court. He only used a tennis ball. I think they were warming up. Do you have a video about it?
Hey William, yeah sometimes coaches say the same things in different languages and sometimes coaches have different opinions. Unless there is a injury or another debilitating factor the toss being assisted with the legs is a no-no though. No ego here as I've been wrong in the past but I can definitely advise against using that particular method. Thanks for watching!

The magic is in the toss, it's the only shot you actually have 100% control over, master it and things fall into place .
Leaving the tossing arm fully extended until the racquet head is launching up to the ball almost always cleans up my serve.

3:04 actually know a so-called coach that teaches this method.
