Today’s nightmarish tale of terror is all four parts of ‘The Vanishing City of Warmire, Colorado’, an original series by the wonderfully talented James Caligo, kindly shared with me via Dr. Creepen’s Vault so that I could narrate it here for you all, with the author’s express permission.

You + James Caligo are a good combo!
They sounded a little young to get "smashed" but I was a little disappointed he didn't even get his first kiss from one of them.
Edit: Dear Author, please make sure the protagonist is a little older, gets laid in your next tale.

this story reminds me of another one called "the horror from the vault" particularly with the idea of monsters that melt and assimalate organic matter while keeping it alive.

Ahh a wonderful work of fiction by James Caligo. And delivered for our aural bliss by the legendary Dr Creepen. Does it get any better? Thanks to you both for such a horrifying story of no escape. I’d love to know what, why, who? But somehow not knowing is just as good, even better. I’ll give Jack this, for apparently such a young guy he held on for an unbelievable long time with that sort of apocalyptic scene! Green slime that turns you into a gelatinous mass? No thanks. Swirling dark clouds that are actual sentient beings that either use their bodies to hide within or simply hide within the foggy smoke. A really unique take on an old idea. End of the world doesn’t have to necessarily be the entire world. Just your world.
***Note- If anyone thinks I could’ve sounded anymore pretentious than that, please feel free to comment! Lol, not that I didn’t mean what I said, I just went completely overboard with too much nonsensical jargon that could have been much simpler to express.

i dont understand how as soon as he found the sinkhole at the end, he just allofasudden decides to mention for the very first time all night, that he wasnt on earth anymore and he was certain that sinkhole would lead him back to earth... unless i dozed off during an earlier part and missed them figuring out and talking about how they werent on earth anymore, it makes absolutely no sense that he would see a sinkhole and just automatically start assuming that was the way back to earth, when at no point previously did any of them ever acknowledge or even suspect that they were no longer on earth... if there is never anything to indicate you ever left earth to begin with, then there is absolutely no reason you would ever assume some random new sinkhole would be the way back to earth... if you never suspect you left earth in the first place, it would make much more sense that you habe been on earth the entire time and whatever is at the bottom of that sinkhole would most likely lead you to somewhere that isnt earth, because you are already and have always been on earth at the top without jumping into the sinkhole... if you are running around with no indication that you ever left earth, then why in the world would you ever suspect the bottom of the sinkhole would lead you back to earth when you never left earth and are still on earth??
if i missed something where they realize and acknowledge they must have left earth at some point, then i apologize and it absolutely does make sense to think that maybe the bottom of the sinkhole is the way back, but if you never left earth, how could there be a way back to someplace you never left???
like what do you mean the sinkhole is the way _back_ to earth, they have always been on earth throughout the entire story.

But I gotta sat that ending seemed to suck. Not to be rude or derogatory but this is probably the one where the protagonist is the only one to survive.

Look I dont hate it, but I have very little respect for personal fan-fics disguised as genuine narratives. At least not when they're this obvious. It's so clear that 'young single men' are the target audience of this story, and it's distracting that it's this clear.. But it was fairly well written, which I appreciate. The characters are caricatures, but they're not completely unbelievable.
Also putting the plastic under your clothes is NOT smart at all!!! So when your clothes get covered and soaked into by the green slime your then stuck with nothing but the plastic to wear. When you could have been smart and put the plastic on the outside of your clothes and protect them along with yourself so that when you do get somewhere you will actually have clothes to wear instead of NOT having any over a stupid idea!!!
Stupid runs amuck in this group. First off you nor anyone there has the authority or the ability to control anyone or tell anyone what they can or can't do. Period. It's not your place. Know your roll and stay in your lane!!! And secondly, how do you think you have to stay there to guide said group with whom you have No standing, control or authority over??? Mind Your Business and Take Care of YOUR people!!! If the others believe in you and your ideals then they can follow. If not it's their choice as to what they are going to do.
