My daughter announced shortly after seeing this scene that this song would be crucial to her wedding as a part of the Father/Daughter dance. I've never been more proud nor more profoundly concerned.
I would be concerned.
I am obsessed with this song. I watched this movie late at night, and I thought I was hearing the song wrong because it is so ridiculous... but, alas... Someone wrote, produced and recorded that song... I still can't believe it.
"And now the pickled babies sing soft rock hits direct from the mouth of hell."
I wish I could've been there to see the guys' reactions the first time they watched this scene. It's just... perfectly designed to demolish the human brain.
and the corpse autopsy later in the film? (yes that's a real corpse)
Bill's nervous crying at 0:12 always gets me laughing.
Tony Orlando's beautiful soft rock song to his robot sex corpse gives us the life lesson of a lifetime to live life by.
I saw the Pickled Babies back in '72, they were awesome.
Weren't they on the Seals & Croft tour?
lol
*Those* were the shows.
The resigned non-sequitur of “I guess you and I will stick it out” really is the most insane way to end this insane song. 😂
“I despise you, I wish you were dead, anyway, who’s on Fallon tonight?”
This is one of the few RiffTrax movies that had me yelling at the screen, Tom Servo-style, "WHAT IS YOUR DEAL, MOVIE?!?" But it was all worth it for this song.
I managed to find the original Spanish rendition and translate it myself-
Doll: Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
There’s be no tricksters, liars, deceivers, (etc etc)
Guy: Never never will you lie to me, in your chest no heart beats
All your feelings of a robot so you don’t remember the love of the past
Doll: It’s like this, I’ll never lie or betray you (I can’t make out the rest)
Guy: Whereever you go I wish you death, robot woman, doll woman
The light in your eyes are hollow, you words food for a hundred crows
Your throat is sore from screams of pain, your blood streaming from your veins
I wish your death, robot woman, doll woman, so then I could love you without fear
You have done the world a fine service...
That's even more horrible and violent and nonsensical!
Hey man, le estaré muy agradecido if you could post the full lyrics in Spanish. I can only get a few words. Is the "stick it out" part like "para entonces amarte sin temor" ?
I don't know if that's any better or worse lol. But man I love this song do you have the full recording of it by any chance?
@@wombspace_oxygenator Basically. I just found the original clip. ruclips.net/video/f4Y4jdXe9S0/видео.html
I love how the girlfriend is watching this “performance” with a look that says “I made the right decision to leave my mysterious scientist boyfriend to return to my ex, who sings manic bipolar songs in public to a mannequin that looks exactly like me.”
🤣🤣🤣
Ecuadorian Engelbert Humperdinck has some pretty good pipes. Also realizing my hair is literally looking like his is telling me its time to visit the barber.
Ecuabert Humperdor?
WE'RE ALL KICKING IT ALL THE TIME, OK?! Now that that's out of the way, this song is indeed amazing and I'm happy to find fellow appreciators.
This is the part of the movie where my jaw just hangs open for about 5 minutes.
A young Crispin Glover heard this and said to himself "Yes! I could... I really could be a songwiter!"
Ah Man!! Now this song is stuck in my head!!!!😂
I actually kinda love this movie. Some of the visuals are legitimately compelling and creepy. The whole thing is just this utterly deranged, bizarre take on the classic gothic mad scientist trope.
I mean it's not that great of a movie by any means, but I just love how strange and eccentric it is.
It's certainly got it's own thing going on.
Aren't they going to offer us any ham?
Including real dead bodies for the autopsy scene heh.
I could see a good remake coming from it.
Agree, it's an acid trip of a B-movie. I love it.
*in a whispered, high-pitched voice* Attention, freshmen!
The Pickled Babies is a great name for a band.
I _desperately_ want to know more information about this song.
Favorite Rifftrax show ever. Classic.
One fucked up movie, one hilarious rifftrax. I like the song, actually.
Never, never will you fly from me, lifeless heart that doesn't beat after all,
I have such feelings for a dead robot, while remembering the past and all its love.
Wherever you may find yourself, I wish you were dead.
My own robot, my own, my lady.
Don't stare at me with those eyes of horror.
You've thrown out my love for you to hound dogs.
You've torn yourself apart while in your fits of angry rages, the blood flowing lifeless from your body.
With these eyes of brightness which fill up the darkness, my own robot, my own, my lady.
So I guess you and I will stick it out.
I love this whole bit.
And we're back...
Somebody enjoyed the Sixties just a little TOO much...
Thanks so much for sharing 😹😹😹
This was the theme of our senior prom. At least I wished it was.
Yeah!
Death!
“Ladies and Gentlemen...Heart!”
When you commission Sander Cohen to make a song and music video.
I like to think Duran Duran has never seen this movie, but....
This is probably on continuous loop at Nick's house.
most complex love doll for that time I am impressed 😂😊
01:30 - “You may find yourself I wish you were dead! My own robot! My own! My lady!”
“Let me kiss hate love kill yooouuuuu!!…I dunno what I’m saying…” 😂
I've seen this Rifftrax on their twitch stream a couple times and I have no idea what is going on in this scene.
Ok....is the woman singing supposed to be the dummy (I mean, robot)?
Bill crying sells this
For me, it’s the “Let me kiss hate love kill you.”
@@AlmostWorthless That and the "And now the pickled babies sing soft rock hits direct from the mouth of hell"
Anyone know where to hear the full song?
Try taking ambien and NyQuil together while with a fever; that usually works for me.
Here's the original track from the movie (seems like they recorded a whole English-translation track too): ruclips.net/video/f4Y4jdXe9S0/видео.html
What the fuck just happened
I just can't get over how randomly this movie seqwayed into this moment. I wanna show more people this but the imagery is honestly weird and upsetting. XD
Why does anyone need a pickled baby?!
lmao so i guess you and i will stick it out
Anyone know what movie this is from?
Link in the description for ya :)
LOL Thanks, man
Get it, I'm serious, along with all their movies (RiffTrax I mean) they're fantastic.
“And we’re back”
why hadn't she run in terror and changed her name after the first stanza?
having seen the movie, she's incredibly stupid
"hey! there's STUPID! really big!"
there is a little known music video for this song: ruclips.net/video/AHW8cG0VdH0/видео.html
Bryan Ferry's Ecuadorian doppelganger? That room's not big enough to accommodate the horn section heard flourishing in the finale of My Own Robot. Nevertheless, this song is still better than the cr@p that's on the radio.
WTF?
Yep.
