Thank you Theatre Museum Canada, Mr. R. H. Thomson. Christopher Plummer, an excellent interview with much to offer. Well-done! Appreciated the helpful suggestions to keep people engaged.
In my opinion, it has nothing to do with looks or talent. What makes a star is charisma. Enough people in the audience have to want to get to know them or hang out with them. It's about how the star makes the audience member feel.
I'd say doing the work, having the charisma (of course) and keeping yourself mysterious so as to make yourselves more interesting to the public. The prime ingredient though is fundamental: talent! Keep them guessing, like CP says in another part of this long interview! ♐
Some are born stars....that has been suggested of me....some achieve stardom...those that need to try....and others have stardom thrust upon them....bastards.
