- Took the V out to a track rental at the end of the year and it did not disappoint. Couldn't quite get the 60' to where it needed to be to crack off an 8 but the car was absolutely ripping and shocked me how fast it went. As far as I know, this is THE SBE/LSA blower only record. Domin8tuned on ignite red...
GP tuning 2.5 Cam
American Heritage Performance ported LSA heads
Stock Kong ported LSA blower, Stock Trans, Stock Converter, Stock rear end and axles, untouched short block... motor and trans have never been out of the car....

Hey Justin, congrats! Your car is a beast and so inspirational for me. I just took delivery of one of Matt's 2.5 cams and cannot wait to get it installed along with having the heads ported this winter. I installed one of Precision Industries Vigilante converters last winter my V wagon and it got me in the 10's with just bolt-ons this season. Thanks again for sharing the vids!
Whhheeeeeewwwww she MOVING !!!!
What do you have done for weight reduction?
What rear suspension do you have!? Seems so well planted and doesn't just bottom out
It's stock rear springs but has all TRZ parts for the 15" conversion
Congrats Justin! But what's the secret recipe? Does the car have suspension on it? From the separation (wheel gap) on the front wheels it appears like there is some aftermarket suspension work done. 🤔 I'm over here struggling to not knock the tires off after the 60ft. Any tips?
It does have AR Hobbs front coilovers on it. Are you on those ET street SS in your reel? Those tires are absolute trash. Get yourself an ET R or radial pro. Or a Hoosier DR2 - that’s what I’m running but have had better 60’ with the radial pros
@Justin87GN Yea that's what I'm running. They are 17's also and on stock suspension. Do you recommend the 15" conversion along with the coilovers and tire too?
@@baybiboy1 Yes I would. Mine got a lot more consistent after doing all of that
@Justin87GN Great! Thanks for the info and keep killing them out there!!! I'm going to be trying for my 9's this race season.
@@baybiboy1 Good luck!
What pulley combo. Upper and lower?
That is confidential sir
@@Justin87GN awe man lol am running 2.55 upper 10.00 lower made 802hp want to crank it up some more .
2.4 and 9.55 I made 856

You make close to 900 at the wheels without forged internals?
Significantly over 900 wheel and yes the motor has never been out of the car or had the oil pan off. Completely stock bottom end
@@Justin87GN Just realizing its a V, they come with forged internals from factory.
@@Byrd_City Gen 3's do. This has a forged crank but cast rods and pistons
@Justin87GN
So just how much power can the stock bottom end handle?
@@wiscopyro I have run this car at this power level over a year and have had no issues. As long as tuning is spot on and the car is logged every pass
What is the race weight on your car?
Now that's a good question. They didn't have scales at the track so i'm not sure. In street trim last time it was on a scale at SCT it was 4280
How much power does the car make?
Enough to go 9.0 🤷♂️ lol. It hasn’t been on a dyno since I fixed my belt slip that it was dropping boost. It picked up 3psi after remedying that. Made 891 with belt slip at 6500
@@Justin87GN I would guess it is between 950 and 1100 based on the ET. Very cool!
Who’s your tuner?
Domin8tuned out of PA
What’s done to it that mf running
@@SrtHemiPower Mod's are in description
Congrats buddy. This was with Ignite Red right?
Correct. E content was 89.8%
Also got the 88mm turbo going on the 408 stroker escalade EXT
Hell yeah man we are about to turbo the Denali as well
@Justin87GN hell yea remember I was watching your progress with the procharger because I wanted one too
Sheesh, stock bottom end huh. Wish I could say the same my 09 pissing glitter at 93k miles. Stock everything except 2.55 pulley, catless and e85. Now I'm just gonna build it to a 416.
Man that sucks. Did you change your oil a lot? I have had zero issues with this motor even running it lean multiple times. It's a tank
@Justin87GN I bought it like this, previous owner said he was just driving one day and got a low oil pressure pulled over towed it home and it had glitter in oil I bought it hoping it was a bad oil pump or dropped valve. I changed the oil drove it about a mile or 2 and it started getting below 10psi. I parked it changed oil still pissing glitter. I got it for 16k tho.
Slung a rod through mine yesterday 160k🫡
@@jpatrick260 Ooof thats rough. Time to rebuild
