Some people say it really doesn't matter what slingshot (frame) you use. They say it's the band and ammo you use that is the deciding factor. I think people buy different frames just because they look cool and it's what they like. 👍😊
That's my favorite out of the two despite the better Shootout for the xt lol they are both awesome though and I think the xt would be the better choice for half inch bands!
Had an Xt to start off with, then tried an Lt to compare, I found I was pulling at the end of the shot, also found the pinch grip a bit uncomfortable with the Xt ….. The Lt I wasn’t sure about for a while until I found a rock solid anchor point with it, I gave the Xt away as my shooting was way better with the littleun……. have since got a sniper sling robin mini, with the same fork width as my Lt’s…. beautiful slingshot, but I’m no more accurate with it than I am with my Lt…….. it’s a personal choice, we are all individual’s and what works for one may not work for another.
Well done, and nice shooting. I'm a Scout LT fan, may try the new LT2 one day, but it requires you to build tubular bands with tabs, if you use tubes. One question: I'm assuming you are aware that you are twisting your frame a lot, as in your top fork is well forward, and the bottom fork closer to you. Not sure if there is a reason for that. Top reason not to is that you are stretching the two bands to different lengths, which if you do it consistently, obviously can be accurate, but it's tougher to do. Also you are shooting through the forks at an angle, so you have significantly less room for error to avoid fork hits. I would also assume you will get uneven wear on your bands, top band breaking first.
You never mentioned that the fork width (outer edge to outer edge) was different resulting in different anchor points for each frame. That is the most important difference as it effects how you shoot each frame.
Hey Zach! They should be available, there is also the Scout X I'm going to do a review on. IL also compare the three, Simpleshot made me an affiliate so I'd love it if you were the first one to get one through my affiliate link that would be awesome. IL try and get the videos out soon!
Can't imagine why people risk breaking fingers with a pinch grip. Why not just use a slingshot that keeps your hands safe with a wrist brace like more should come with? With that said the hammer XT seems like the safest option by far. You get startled while shooting & hit a finger with the pinch grip it's not going to be just a frame dent to worry about.
Don't stick your fingers where they can be shot, shot myself in the hand once and it hurt I got a little scar....but it wasn't that bad and life goes on lol
@@RikklesFisher I've seen some where the steel ball went into their hand. Although, I'm wandering but, don't want to find out how on earth they got that direct of a hit. I have a scout and it is capable of slinging 3/8" steel through roofing tin when pulled back and release quickly on newer bands for sure. I was using a piece that was too small for anything else for target one day and no it doesn't take repeat hits in the same area either. When released fast after draw the bands put out a lot more energy. I've had a fork hit once but not hand yet.
The damage on the XT you fill with Epoxy then wrap with paracord around handle or buy a powdered paint that mixes with Epoxy to blend with the color of handle and fill in the crack, Peace.
I have my XT all the time. It's my favorite sling shot. I have polished the clips and put copper thumb screws and wrapped with camo ducktape.
Sounds badass!
Picture ? 😅
I lost it when moving , I'll keep it in mind

I totally agree! The aiming references on the frame might slight improve accuracy though.
@@RikklesFisher That is very true.
Yes me lol! I bought 6 and still not hitting targets 😂 I'm a beginner
Thank you!
Even tho i watched a lot - this particular video lead me to choose the scout xt for my 1st slingshot
I'm glad this video could help you out! I thought there was a need for this video out there!
They look like pretty good slingshots, you are a pretty good shot. Would love to see you hunt something with them.
Thanks guys! That's what I'm practicing for is hunting season, I'm very excited to start doing some kill and cook videos with the slingshot!
I am hooked on the Scout LT. nice & small & super consistent!

Same! Just started 6 months ago.
Me 2.

Great points! I miss my xt! I think IL have to get another lol
can't wait for a catch and cook with the slingshot
Same here man!! The season is almost here!
good review, my LT on the way 🤩
Thank you!

Still need to setup a shot-catcher to practice with the one you made me. Hahaaa! Thanks for the reviews!!
Absolutely! I have more bands for you too!
Dear Sir! I really liked your video. May I ask the depth and thickness of the fork?
Thank you! Did I not measure those in the video?
The depth and thickness of the fork is not.
@roberttrungel-nagy8283 oh my bad! Which slingshot do you want to know?
Both.
I am looking for the slingshot with the most optimal grip for me.
I have settled on the Fowler designed "Sparrow" sold by Simpleshot. The smooth contours of the frame are to my liking.
It looks nice for sure, cheap as well I might have to do a video on it one day.
7:47 i agree with you. I too struggle with the hard screwing.
You never mentioned that the fork width (outer edge to outer edge) was different resulting in different anchor points for each frame. That is the most important difference as it effects how you shoot each frame.
Thanks for letting me know! Next video IL be sure to include that!
Rick! I'm looking for a slingshot for grouse while I'm out big game hunting. Looks like both of these are no longer available. Any suggestions?

I’ll absolutely use the link! I look forward to your next vid! Appreciate the reply!
@zachvydra9309 send me a message on Instagram or Facebook and IL send you that link buddy!
Nice shooting man....with the Xt scout shooting TTF what do use as a reference point? thanks Nathan...
Thanks man! Same reference point as the lt if I'm shooting ttf
@@RikklesFisher but where do you aim in the middle of the fork tip?
@@nathanevans6331 yes exactly
@@RikklesFisher would be nice if they'd put an aiming dimp in there i might do one myself
@@nathanevans6331 yeah one like the lt, I think because it's an older design it doesn't.
Thank you this was a helpful review
Glad it helped!
Can you add fiber optics to it?
Not these ones but they now have different models with fiber optics included.
Just bought a LT for my wife and son, got an X for myself. Kinda wish I tried the xt though, I think I'd like the fatter grip.
Nice! All great frames for sure. Honestly the XT may be the most sturdy of them all and is the OG I believe!
What ammo do you use for hunting ?
7/16" Steel Balls!
@@RikklesFisher Where do you get it from ?
@@davidb4122 Amazon
@@RikklesFisher Ok thanks
Hi, What size thumbscrews did you buy please?
The only size they sell on the Simpleshot site.
Dam practice makes perfect you are on the money fun thanks for sharing
I don't think you can get perfect at slingshotting but you can get good! Thank you and tight lines!
Quite good review! 👍
Thank you!
I own the Scout XT LT and Scout X pro. I like the Scout X Pro the best.
I own the Scout X but not the pro, gonna have to try a pro soon!
I like the XT TTF & THE LT OTT
I just love TTF overall!
Are you ever going to run out of co2
I'm sorry?
@@RikklesFisher it's a joke. Just another reason to buy a slingshot.
@@kennyshane981 oh haha that one flew over my head! Lol tight bands man!
Nice comparison!
Thanks Jack!
shit my man u got good fast with those.
Thanks! I try and practice at least a bit every single day, gotta be ready for hunting season!
The Extreme v2 from Cattyshack UK
Thank you Now I order both 😅😅
I've found that in videos the distance of the shot is hard to judge. Approximately how far were you shooting in this clip?
About 40-45ft
thanks!
Read that the first time you screw in its self tapping.
I'm a LT man.🇦🇺
Xt 🇺🇸
Nice review.. where are you looks beautiful..
