Pretty sure Artillery Ballista doesn't aftershock. Aftershock is a mechanic specifically tied to slam melee attacks, so you're probably wasting your point there. Aftershock are secondary explosions that occur after a primary attack that deal the exact same damage. If a skill doesn't say its using an aftershock, it isn't. There's definitely efficiencies you can make with your passive tree btw. One big, big, big thing you're missing is Resolute Technique. You path right by it. At 12:40 you show your tooltip and you have a super low 88% chance to hit. That means 12% of the time you're missing your attacks. That doesn't even include the accuracy drop-off for range. Resolute Technique is going to be something like 15% more damage for you, because it will push your chance to hit up from 88% (or lower, depending on range) to 100%. You also can probably drop some of the small passive nodes you invest in, in favor of getting more notables. For example, you could drop three of the 15%/16% totem attack nodes you have. You're getting 47% increased damage from them. You can then go for the notable Impact Force, going in from the top. For the same 3 points, you gain 49% attack area damage (which artillery ballista is) and 20% stun buildup. So that's slightly more damage and a free bit of stun buildup. There are other efficiencies you can do like that. You spend a lot of points pathing around but not getting stuff for the pathing that it may be worth ensuring you're taking side nodes alongside your travel for more value. Nonetheless its still really great to watch someone try to push with completely off-meta skills. You're in completely uncharted territory and its really awesome to see you push harder content even when so few other people have tried to make ballistas work
What do you think the best passive anoint on an amulet is for this build? (assuming we already have all the ones you mentioned0 also, have you seen powercrazy555's video/version? it's the only other person I can find doing this build on YT but he's using deadeye and he's got slightly better clearspeed and boss damage but that might be due to better gear/higher level/etc
Love to see the updates. I'm currently leveling a deadeye artillery and it's crazy strong. I'm in cruel act 2 and I have +60% movement speed and I'm clearing both mobs and bosses faster than my super meta spark stormweaver that I started the league with.
Just an idea! Maybe you can path to Ancestral bond, then put All the font support gem to Ripwire for mana, health regen, and Rage generation. Then you can sit tight and spawn unlimited Artillery to slain boss.
@toribasher211122 yeah I ended up getting them! My how has 169% Elemental damage. I can run t12-13s pretty confidently now. But I feel like I hit a wall because idk what else I can do for damage. I might just need to focus on getting more Armour. My skill is currently level 25 (17 skill gem) I'm trying to get my 3rd ascension done so I can unlock the ability to use any gem with my highest attribute (I'm not the witch hunter) so I can unlock the spell that lowers fire resistance by like 40% which should boost my damage a lot on elites and bosses.
I think it's meta for witch hunter, gas grenade is extremely boring, and it's basically the only other witch hunter build. I can do all content so it's not "not meta", just has some other things fine tuned like mana.

Yeah deadeye is nuts, the attack speed goes bonker and the +1 proj is huge.

owh so crossbow damage don't affect totems but attack speed is?
best totems right now, but pretty heavy mana cost on use xD imma get 2k mana and tons of regen

You can get the Crest of Ardura Jingling crest shield, put it in your off hand and just swap to it. It increases your mana regen by a ton.
Why are level 1 ways tones dropping in t14? Ggg needs to fix this shit! I just got to endgame and it sucks really bad.

It feels like shit tbh, i've tried it.
I guess only if it shotguns enemies, but the spread is very wide. And you'd need to break armour.

My ballistas can ignite the enemys. And the ignited enemys let that gasgrenades explode

Less tanky but you get much more damage. You can fix that with gear, tho. Just get the Rawhide unique helmet to boost your PDR.
