  • In this video, I take you on a 190KM bike ride from Lisbon to the famous Salinas of Rio Maior, through the peaceful roads and beautiful small villages of Portugal. This is the kind of ride where you can truly connect with the local landscape - passing through farms full of pears, grapes, and tomatoes.
Ricardo and I stuck to the classic Portuguese roads: EN1, EN3, and EN115. No big climbs, just smooth riding through the countryside, where you can appreciate the simple joys of life. We made a stop at the Salinas, and, of course, we couldn’t resist enjoying some fresh local cheeses with Rio Maior’s bread - hands down the best combination for any cyclist after a long ride!
Life on the bike really is beautiful, especially when you stop in these villages to take in the surroundings, connect with the locals, and appreciate the little things that make cycling in Portugal so special.
