Hi Mike, This is fantastic.
I used to do string art when I was in school and college and the main problem was the ability to get and even feed of string without the ball getting in the way.
This should certainly sort that out.

Thanks Huw. In most of the videos where I've seen people using a pen they put the spool in a jam jar and between the jar and the pen it does make a smooth feed. I've got a couple of more ideas for using string art in wood turnings and definitely am going to make a big flat mandala for myself, it's very relaxing.
Do you wish you still had a couple of your school string art projects or do you still have any?
