@ravisigili Dear Sir Ji Ramp walk by musicians is untimely because when people suffer by walking on road,with knee dip water. We are talking about impact of rain and impact of ramp walk. Alternatively, there are lot of musicians who help needy at times of people facing difficulty due to nature. When people suffer to walk, musicians could have been sympathetic to people who are rasikas. To share pain is support of musicians instead of probing the unresolved causes.

Audience for carnatic music is very small and even when those suffer ,the musicians need to be concerned about people , the rasikas wellness. World will not accept celebration when their own people are in natural crisis, like that happened in Covid. We need to use our sense and time the events. All events are good but the timing of events matter. Open your heart and mind so that the world will open everything for you. All need to be empathetic at times of untold misery, crisis and issues

Those great saints samadhi really looks sad with very minimal development and sometimes no money to even perform daily pooja. Without them where is this name, fame and so much richness?
Well said. Hailing from a carnatic music background , I lost all respect for the carnatic fraternity seeing all the flamboyance and fanfare surrounding them. Carnatic music is going to be limited to the elite few and it will not expand if this is going to continue

To all South Indian Artists who enjoyed this fun event ....please maintain the Class and Tradition. It is extremely important for the future Society. Our Seniors have to set examples for youth to follow. Its sad to see shows on TV where South Indian female presenters dress western.No need

Very sad to see classical musicians do something so silly. It is bad enough to see them decked up on stage pretending to be in some 'rasa', with no real devotion. They play to the gallery and sure, this seems to suit them.
These artists doesn't know to perform properly carnatic music on stage. But well-versed in fashion show. When they unanticipatedly receive million dollars & space for ramp walk with dazzling costumes who would say no ?? 😂 Chennai & Tirunelveli floods are least bothering for them. The cost involved in this event could have used for promoting young talents from different states. But these greedy artists won't allow the organizers to do so
Morally repulsive. What/where was the need for this? Was it a fund raiser for a noble cause? Doesn’t seem like it. I’d love to stand corrected. Kudos to the artists who declined the invite on principle.
