You have been So incredibly helpful. It's been years I've wanted to get a cargo carrier for my bike but didn't know if I wanted to put the money into an extra lil "luxury" item. This is no luxury item; it's essential. I have been putting dumbass groceries on my handlebars and almost wrecking for years. Anyway, you covered every base and then some. You're an inspiring person. Peace
Thanks for this really helpful review! I'm thinking about purchasing this since I will be going on a long distance across the trans-Canada trail and I'm pretty sure my bike won't be able to carry all of my equipment by itself. Great job keep it up!
Thank you very much for your kind comments. I wish you all the best in your travels. If you happen to have a RUclips channel and you decide you're going to video tape your travel, leave me a link to your channel and I'd love to watch it. Thanks again!
would it fit a couple of duffle backs stuffed full along with a backpack stuffed? all clothes by the way looking to make a trip down to florida im in georgia
Hi Dan, you're a genius and your film is a great idea. I bought a day tripper cycle trailer. Unfortunatley I got to the bit in your film at 5.11 and it didnt work for me, the arm swings round OK but it just wont snap in. It goes in the slot on the upright OK but however I try to get it to snap and lock, it won't. Neither of them works, I expect I'm doing something wrong and there's a simple solution but I can't see it. I tried contacting Pacific Cycles but when I was still at No.26 in the queue after 30mins I gave up. They dont appear to have a comtact email address.
Once you swing the arm around, you replace the cotter pin back into the hole to secure into position. I think that's what your asking. There is no automatic locking mechanism to secure the arm into position. It's locked into position with the pin. I hope that helps.
Thanks for the review. Could you please tell me what the outside dimensions are when it is folded up? How has it lasted over the years you have had it?
When the two tires are removed and the arm folds and you collapse the walls, that will be the dimension. same as the floor of it. Check for accurate dimensions in their description on my Amazon link. I hope that helps. I'm unable to as I'm on my way to work.
I don't know exactly what you would call it but it's a durable yet flexible type of plastic, if that makes any sense. The frame gives it stability. I hope that helps.
No.. Actually, once you insert the large cotter pin in place to secure the wheels, it's really stable. I put weight into it and it towed along just fine. I wouldn't risk overloading it though. Thanks for the question.
@@therealWoD Thank you!. I currently have the Allen Sports Act 200, and they use a proprietary hitch & coupler (mount), and the coupler that stays on the bike, was stolen along with my bike a few months ago, and Allen Sports no longer supports that trailer (no parts), so I'm looking for a new one, and your review cemented my decision. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your comment. I'm sure you'll be pleased with it. And sorry about replying a month later.. SMH For whatever reason I didn't get a notification.
Hi. I can't honestly tell you if it would. I would think it could since the coupler that attaches to the rear wheel seems universal fit. You might want to contact your local Schwinn dealership and see if they can answer your question to be sure. Good luck.
It definitely would Not work right out of the box with a trike. It's not made for a trike, although theoretically the hitch assembly could be modified, as anything can be modified for an alternate fit. Lots of work ahead.
I am looking to buy a multi-purpose type bike trailer. Primary use would be a ride for my 44 lb dog and love of my life. I don't think he would like to be closed in a dog trailer. He Is more of a sit in a solid trailer, no boundaries, I am staying with my Momma kind of guy.
I wouldn't recommend fully submerging the trailer into a lake but it does have a cover that goes over the top to protect your items if it's raining. If you have a lot of items I would bring a spare tarp, just in case. I never gotten to that point so I can't give you an honest answer but maybe somebody else can. Thanks for your question.
Just ordered mine. I'm a lil worried that the capacity isn't quite what I wanted, but maybe it's bigger than it looks. I wanna throw my kid in there just here on our dead-end street and wondering if it'd hold him.. he's twelve. Any updates on it since you've had it all these months?
My cargo Carrier is still solid. haven't had to use it for heavy items. Mainly just for groceries or picking up a few light item things. I don't know if I would put a twelve-year-old in it?! Not only just because of the weight, unless he's a light 12 year old, but maybe because for safety reasons. That's just me though. Thank you for the kind words. Have fun. Let me know how it goes. Thanks for watching!
Use your flag - it is a great awareness assistence in traffic. You know the old saying, there are none so blind as the automobile drivers that see the bicyclists but don't. Especially on those on roads with no bicycle lanes. And, this is no test drive. Perhaps you should do an update after a month's usage. Much obliged, even so. Thanks.
I do agree with you. Safety is key. You always have to be on defense when it comes to traffic. As an update after a month, that was a long time ago. But I can tell you that it's still holding you up and it hasn't failed me yet. As long as you take good care of it you'll get your money's worth out of it. It's a good product.
I don’t know what people at Schwinn thinking or not. It take no more cost nor patent to make wheels as quick release and tweaking a handle to turn it into a cart. Guess this is made of steel and heavy. Not too bad for people who can’t invest more; but Schwinn could have done better. Three star.
Sorry about that. I didn't know how to contact Steven Spielberg and hire him to help me with my videos. But I hope you got something out of it besides that. Thanks for watching.
Unboxing and a test, thank you!!!;)
You're welcome.
this was the realest video review on this product on all of youtube! thank you my brother. you just made me push the purchase button. thank you
Your welcome and thank you for that comment.
Ya gotta keep to keep it real!
Thanx Dan. Schwinn needs to send you a check.
I agree..😛
Thanks for sharing this video.
I just ordered mine, it should be coming in in a couple of days. I ordered the same color as the one you have..
That's great!
I'm sure you'll be pleased with it.
I get mine tomorrow for my Super 73 Rx✊

Thanks. Still useful review 2 years after.
Thanks.
Glad to hear that.
Strong review, getting one, thanks Dan!
Thanks, Dan!
Hope you get great use out of it.
Good review. I just bought one.
Thank you very much.
I'm glad that my review helped.

Thanks! What is its cargo-bed made of?
Good video Dan, thank you for the review

Absolutely
Cool
This left out the only part I needed and took forever to be worthless
I got the same trailer.
Can you carry recyclable cans if you're going to cash them in in this trailer
You could probably carry a couple of garbage bags full of cans.

Should have gone for the Burley Nomad...or even the Burley Flat Deck.

I forgot to also ad was when you do fold it up, it could be slid underneath a bed if that helps you out as far as how bulky it is.
Thanks for the information.
What is the material used for the trailer floor?
I don't know exactly what you would call it but it's a durable yet flexible type of plastic, if that makes any sense.
The frame gives it stability.
I hope that helps.
do you think I can fit a lawnmower and other lawn tools inside it or is it too small?
It would probably be too small for a lawn mower but for small gardening tools and such I think it would be just fine.
The rims/tires look wobbly... loose fitting. Are they?
No..

How much does this weigh and how much can you carry on them and how much is the price
Click on the link in the description and it should take you to a Amazon page with all the info you need.
You can ask questions there as well.
Does it come with the coupler for your bike?
Sorry about replying so late.
yes it does come with a coupler
@@therealWoD No Worries! Thank you
Could you tell me which are the internal dimensions? I need put inside a 14x21 inch box. Thanks
Hi...
I would think that it would be just fine to carry your box in the bike trailer.
Wanted to ask if it works with the schwinn trike

For $99.99 not bad could have been $100.00 🤣🥵🥳

I measured it at 28x19 inches inside the floor of the trailer.

I guess technically you can.
I wouldn't recommend it as it is for cargo.
Cargo can't get injured.
