I think Dream xd is just an extention of Dream, one that hasn't been corrupted yet. That's why he kinda has the same priorities that Dream had before the whole mess started

Here's what I'm getting here DreamXD is not human, he has power nobody else has he's basically a god like he said. And George is just George, one day George and Niki are being forced to come with badboyhalo to the egg so it can possess them, but the DreamXD comes along and saves them both.
DreamXD doesn't know about human emotion, he doesn't understand humans and what they do. So George is teaching him how to act normal and understand human emotion. Because his world is much different then theirs.

I feel as though all this build up with George getting... 'lore' when the penultamate event of this arc occurs he's still going to sleep through it and live up to the 'notfound' part of his name.
I just thought of a pretty cool bit of lore for DreamXD. A backstory really.
DreamXD isn't just the Guardian of the End, but an expression of cosmic balance. It's name and form are taken from the one who is closest to Godhood (Dream), though its *Name* is slightly different to prevent existential merging when entering the normal plane. Its name will have some relation to its actual existence as an expression, hence Dream - *XD* . It will appear at End Portals and break them, to prevent others from gaining power from the End, though the machinations of the Devil (Drista??) result in "leaks" allowing some to gain a sliver of power from the End. At times, when someone suffers too much from the Devil's temptations, DreamXD will step in and give a slight help to that person. But nothing more than enough to balance the negativity inflicted upon that person.
Just something I made up in a few mins. Thought it was fun and cool!
P.S. DreamXD also seems like he has a few... mental issues... pretty common for this server. Perhaps the egg has a hidden server-wide effect that destabilises their minds? or maybe said effect is caused by pheromones emitted by the red flowers
My personal head cannon is closer to dream just dressing like a god because of a crave for power , and I think the egg isn't basically a sentient mushroom that is a mix of cord yep and magic mushrooms.
