Pakhtun is not a tribe but a collection of tribes and originate from Afghanistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but not from India or Bangladesh where there are descendents of Pakhtuns who are mixed in with many other races and have DNA of undetermined origin now. i am an indian hindu punjabi but i feel pashtuns of pakistan are way more hospitable than pashtuns of afghanistan, i dont know may be i am wrong but i have met many pashtuns from both pak and afghan in europe, majority of them are bit poor and do small scale jobs in europe like dish washing, cab drivers, working in a small takeway shops but surprisingly whenever i met pakistani pashtun they were so nice and sometimes even didn't take money from me like when i told them i am from india, one driver from peshawar was there he infact gave me a free ride worth 30 euros. then one day one takeway guy even didn't take money for chicken sandwich fries and other things, as soon as he got to know m indian he didn't take any money whereas some pashtuns afghans really ripped me off and charged double money on some occasions and they were very thankless and selfish. i found them bit namakharam.
Don't be so touchy about Afghans...as this war Generation since 1979...most of them lost there loved ones..force to go in as refugees across the globe. Pukhtun Afghan is the main ethnic people Who suffered a lot. Afghans (pakhtunes)are divided Durand boarder.

There are over 70 millions Pashtuns worldwide but yet Pashto is an endangered language. In Pakistan 50 millions of them live but nowhere Pashto is being taught as a compulsory subject in government curriculum. Pashtun children are being forced to learn Urdu & English in schools.
