  • Here is a really easy way to make scale strawberry slices. Once they are baked, and glazed they can look quite realistic.
    P.S. If you preferred the longer tutorials, I do have extended cuts. I had too many complaints about the longer videos. I have them on my Patreon. www.patreon.com/heatherwells?...
    I am now releasing them for the 1.00 and up level patrons.
    The donations help me buy more materials :)

      +Isabella G. I got so many complaints about them being boring anything over seven minutes. I do have extended cuts, on my Patreon page. The extended videos can be seen by anyone a the 1.00 level or higher. Those tutorials are much longer. All extended cuts are over 10 minutes there. I think the extended version of the strawberries there is around 17 minutes. I will leave the link here, so if anyone is curious they can see what the extended cut is like. ruclips.net/video/yRDR_2LtMiU/видео.html

      It is kind of like fund me, but an ongoing format. For different donation levels, the creators create prizes. My donation level prizes are not updated. A few people that were donating have had some financial hardship, and had to cancel their accounts, so I am now giving the extended cuts to every one that is at the 1.00 per month and up. Here is the link if you want to check it out. The extended cuts are more like my old videos, some reaching 30 minutes.

    They look so good!! I'm curious, what brand of clay did you use? I know if I ever tried to get slices that thin they would just stick to my fingers.

    • @heathernwells
      @heathernwells  8 лет назад

      +Kelsey Dakoulas I use Premo, it is a little less sticky than fimo, and firmer than Sculpey. Fimo makes the best canes, but if the Premo gets too soft, I park it in the fridge for a bit :)

    I’m so sad it was hard to stretch it out like that and once I got it down everything was warped together any tips?

    • @heathernwells
      @heathernwells  Год назад

      Sorry about the delay. Translucent can soften the clay a bit. Be gentle as possible.. but letting the cane set for an hour to a 3-4 hours can sometimes allow it to firm up enough that it is easier not to warp it. Fimo is firmer and doesn’t warp as easily. I used premo. If they clay is softer then it will have the tendency to squish too easily.. it is heart breaking when that happens

    These look amazing heather :) I love how they aren't too intricate but still look amazing as ever XD On a side note, I'm so sorry about not being able to join your patreon page :(( I was going to set up an etsy shop but I came across sooooooo many problems including payment, shipping, packaging, and so many other issues :(( I promise that if I ever do get it all set up and going, I'll join your page and help you in every way possible :)) Also, I've been having problems with the premo clay, or rather the translucent in particular. I've been noticing these hairline cracks in the clay after baking and I've been getting quite frustrated really :(( Do you have any advice on that? Anyways, thank you so much for such an amazing tutorial :)) All the love. xx

    • @heathernwells
      @heathernwells  8 лет назад +1

      +Vampinlove I notice that the cracks, and air bubbles show up more in translucent clay. I find conditioning by hand, and using the pasta roller only when needed makes all the difference. The more I use the pasta roller, on translucent, the worse it gets. Especially if there is a lot of folding and running it through again, and again.
