I think this strategy is really great. Focusing on pace at the end of the race, when others have spent their tires and everyone is getting tired, is super smart especially in a race like this when leaders battling can drop 2-4 seconds a lap. You also get a great psychological boost pushing at the end, overtaking karts, and chasing the win. Well done.
@@NorbergNation it didn’t seem you had that much more speed down the straight but your entry into turn 1 was so much better than everyone else. Also I don’t l know if it was the go pro stabilization but your driving looked really smooth. The other karts were bouncing all over and over jacking the inside rear tires. The lower tire pressure may have absorbed more of the bumpiness as well as preserved your tires. Did you preserve the tires in the heats before this race? I assume you only get 1 set.
One time at a grand national race, I was qualifying and I knew I was fast but my chain broke so I couldn’t finish the qualifying so I started last in the race out of 46 and I won
Great drive! My son and I our big fans. He will be in his 3rd year this year, first year of cadets. Always good to see inside a pro's head , and add these tips to the repertoire. Thank you and congrats
LOL! I literally punched the subscribe button and then you IMMEDIATELY said this was the last video of this year!! 🤣 Congrats on finally getting THE BIG ONE! Say hi to Rolly and Egger from a big fan!
Superb drive, Have you tried to drive with the MXJ rims? especially when its cold they can bring your tires quicker up to temperature. And from my experience they give you more grip. But every driver thinks different about it (cant see with what type of rims you drive)
Ryan, I hope you see this. One thing I noticed from the live stream of this race, you consistently had your tires out in the dirt when going down the main straight. The camera shot was straight down the barrier and you were the only one running your right sides in the dirt and marbles that are pushed up against the barrier. Not on purpose was it? No one else was running in the dirt. Hopefully this can help even though you won the race? Just pointing out what I saw from the outside looking in, not trying to come off ignorant in any way. Thanks for your videos, it has helped me grow my own race craft and knowledge, keep up all the hard work!
Hey Ryan, congrats for your win! Totally deserved. I have a question : in France, X30 have 2 screws on the carburator for them to change the fuel mix while driving. Do you have this in the U.S? Couldn’t you have used it during the race to compensate your cornering problem?
Great victory Ryan I watch your videos a lot so I can give my driver tips on what the fastest guys are doing. I hear from some of the top guys that you have to be patient on the throttle coming off the apex to let the kart complete its rotation. I notice you pick up the throttle at or slightly before the apex. Are there some types of corners where you're patient and some times you get on the gas earlier.
Majority of the time it is best to pick up the throttle right before the apex or shortly after. There are a few corners like hairpins where it can be well before the apex or well after. Normally, the grippier the track, the later you get on the gas.
Amazing drive mate, really good to watch. Brilliant way to close out the season!
Thanks brother! Hopefully we can share a track soon.
Get your arse to Las Vegas next year mate. Best kart race on the planet bar none.
You really need to do a collab no joke cmon steve.

Hi from denmark, man that drive was incredible. Have never seen such a comeback, keep up the good work and stay positive!

You're right about that! Thank you!
Don’t forget the factory drivers from everywhere. Was doing pro shifter and was watching from the stands rooting for you good job bro crazy run
It was nice to win against them!

You should’ve released this before the race🙄
You're right. What was I thinking??
The amount of thinking you do while driving is impressive, champions drive literally 🔥
Thank you!
Good job!
Awesome driving. Consider showing displaying your position especially when you start from the back!
Congrats
You've officially won everything now. Can you give the rest of us a chance?
I’m not sure yet hahah

Congrats mate! P.s.:my self finished 19 in grand finals. First time in a big event and it i nothing like it.

What a way to end the Year 🥇🏆

Yeah we did but it didn’t work with the setup
@@NorbergNation Okay, what a drive tbh! 💪🏼💪🏼
hope to be on your level one day man!
Practice and you will!
Easy buds keep it up you should do more world stuff
I want to soon! Thank you!
feels like you where a little bit lean two and as the race goes on the engine heats up carburation gets richer then you add the enigne

Wow I didn’t notice that. I’ll have to check that out
i was in 5th i got spin out came back in 14th out of 20 at gopro is that ok?
Awesome race Ryan. Do any of you guys wear an elbow pad? Everyone says you dont need them but if it's a fast track I always smash my elbow.
It depends on the driver. If you are taller some drivers wear them. I don't personally wear one
@@NorbergNation yeah deff taller and I find there is just no room for my elbow.
Your videos deserver like 20x the amount of views, maybe one day there will be enough karters for that happen 🤣
Thanks so much!
NAILED tire pressures!!!! $$$$$
It was on point!
For sure the patience on pressures was great. Plenty of laps. Way to send it being on a better strategy
Hey Ryan, congrats for your win! Totally deserved.

Yes it’s the same engine package over here
Why do higher pressures have more grip, also awesome vid as usual
It has to do with the tire being at the optimal shape from what I understand. Might want to look it up.
Great Video well done, are you staying with the Kosmic next year or the new Lando Kart?
Still Kosmic
Isn’t Lando just another Birel? Like a Ricciardo and such? Please stick with the OTK if you plan to continue winning.
@@jimccc9467 its another OTK kart.
@@NorbergNation thanks, I stand corrected, best of luck to you.
To be honest Ryan, it's arguably the biggest race in the world. Only event worth watching
This is a good comment! ^^^
Formula one when?
Congratulations!
Your channel has helped my karting so much too! Thank you so much!
I hope soon! Thanks man glad I could help

Trying to drive with better drivers. Driving around better drivers will naturally help you increase your skill
