Nice reaction! This band is phenomenal. I saw them live this year and it was incredible, full of emotion, mystery and just exceptional musicianship. Their music takes you through pain, insecurity, longing, anger, desire, heartache and hope. Someone said they share feelings you’ve always had but couldn’t put into words. As others have said it’s worth it to listen to their discography (2 EP’s, some singles and 3 full length albums that are a trilogy of sorts) in order but that would be a lot of reactions! But I am here for it if you do!
You've got an adventure ahead of you with Sleep Token. I've been listening to them every day for a year and never get tired of it. Looking forward to the rest!

Great reaction!! The first rule of Sleep Token is that you do not talk about their identities, even if you know. I discovered their identities by accident back in 2019, which sort of ruined the mystery for me, but did have its upside as I was then able to check out Vessel's previous musical projects! All their discography tells an overarching story with the 3 albums, in particular, being a trilogy. If you want to really dive down the rabbit hole, then may I suggest that you start with their first EP called One. Followed by their second EP, Two. Then there are the 3 standalone singles, Jaws, Hey Ya (Outkast cover), & The Way That You Were. After that, there's the first album Sundowning. If you react to the Deluxe Version, it contains an extra 4 songs: Bloodsport (From The Room Below), Shelter, When The Party's Over (Billie Eilish cover), & I Want To Dance With Somebody (Whitney Houston cover). Available on RUclips, there's also a live fan video of a cover of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah (no studio version available). If you're going to dive into Sleep Token, you absolutely should start at the beginning of Sundowning and go through the 3 albums in order. It is a trilogy of albums. I also suggest having the lyrics pulled up. Worship!
Seems to me all songs relate to Vessel's dream with the Deity he calls Sleep, but I may be wrong :)
The liquid in all the Visualiser Videos is most likely to be ichor (Blood of the Gods)
Sundowning is their first album, start there. Then the second album is This Place Will Become Your Tomb and finally Take Me Back to Eden is the final album. Definitely save the song Euclid last because it is the finale of the "Trilogy of Trauma." Which it has kind of been labeled for the three albums. Thanks for the reaction. They have songs from every genre, and also, as you've seen here, they have songs that have multiple genres in one.
If anyone in your comment section suggests anything besides a cover-to-cover reaction to the triology, ignore them.
This is the way. Then go back to the 2 eps, and the singles/covers.
Also, there are only a few true videos,.they are mostly visualizers. So go ahead and pull the lyrics up and follow along. You'll get more out of it.

Yes, Sleep Token is anonymous. There *are* people who know who Vessel is, but since they want to remain anonymous the fans aren't going to say it.

If you really want to know who they are, you can find it but there’s scant information. Fans tend to respect their privacy and frown on people sharing the information or discussing it. We respect their desire for privacy

IMHO, Sleep Token are creators of the most underrated song of all time “Higher” and the BEST song of all time “Take Me Back to Eden”. From start to finish, these songs are MASTERFULLY put together and have absolutely ZERO WEAKENESS *chef’s kiss*

So I believe the water filling up is actually tar…there is a verse in one of their songs where Vessel says, “I am thick tar on the inside burning”…and since this song is the title track and at the end of the song/video he is screaming in anger and desperation to be taken back to Eden, I believe it is that tar inside of him, finally over overflowing and engulfing everything! You will also notice a black tar substance in other videos with the avatars/guardians
There's So Many incredible songs on all their albums. I recommend Ascensionism, rain, granite, chokehold, dark signs, blood sport (room below) Euclid, higher, Atlantic, apparition ❤

Some want to know who Vessel 1 and 2 are. Most do not want to invade their privacy and reasons for remaining anonymous. I for one do not care either way. I'm here for the music not the lore. I'm not the typical worshipper. I love the music though. So good!

Do yourself a favor, start from the the very first song in the discography and go through all of it in order. I know that's a daunting task but I promise it's one of the most worth while musical experiences you'll ever go on. Especially if you like a good story.
Great reaction to an amazing song!! The band itself on the studio recordings is only Vessel (who does the vocals, guitar, bass and piano as well as writing the lyrics) and II (the drummer). The other members are only used for live performances so III is the bass player, IV is the guitar player and Espera do the backup vocals when they play live.
If youre gonna binge all their music i strongly encourage it, but please please please for the love of god be recording when you do 😂. Even if you listen to a whole album in one sitting, you can still release a video for one song at a time, or however you want to do it. I personally feel like it would be sort of a waste of good content not to, and i know we all would enjoy watching. If you're feeling really committed, you could start with sundowning and work your way through the albums in order. They have 3, which form a trilogy centered around the same concept, and there are a lot of themes and such from the earlier parts that get brought back and referrenced later on, so listening with context would definitely enhance the experience regardless of whether or not you end up listening in private or on the channel.
