Salut Benjamin, merci pour ce test on l'attendait ! 🙏 En ce qui concerne les soucis de mise au point lorsque le sujet est très proche, visiblement ça vient bien des limites de l'objectif car Damien (Bernal) vient aussi de sortir sa vidéo sur le Sigma 70-200 et il a eu les mêmes soucis. Le Sony GM2 en 70-200 est largement devant ce sigma ainsi que le tameron 70-180 en termes de réactivité d'af. Ce qui explique aussi l'écart de prix conséquent entre lui et les deux autres. Bref. Y a plus qu'à espérer que sigma réagisse en améliorant la réactivité de l'objo dans des conditions où le sujet est très proche. Encore merci pour ta review. Et j'espère te revoir bientôt 😉
Mon 70-200mm S PRO me semble plus net à 200mm f2.8, mais cela peut-être les variations de copies, j'en ai déjà fait les frais. En tout cas, je peux dire que le rendu du S Pro est juste fantastique quand on a la bonne lumière.

Hello ! Super test. Cette optique a l'air vraiment excellente. Petite question, dans ton test tu indiques utiliser avec la stabilisation de l'optique + celle du boîtier S5II. C'est possible ça ? Il me semblait qu'on ne pouvait pas combiner les deux avec une optique Sigma et un boîtier Lumix. Merci de ta précision.

Franchement de telle performance en AF sur des personnes qui marchent et des animaux de zoo qui dorment c'est vraiment pas bon... Franchement je me demande si les premiers Nikon Z6 et Z7 font pas mieux ? Même pour 1500€ je voudrais pas du S5 II Bref c'est comme toute les première version c'est peu convaincant cette détection de phase bêta.

Plus la place focale est étendue, plus c'est optiquement complexe de conserver de bonnes qualités optiques (piqué, déformations, aberrations...) ce qui peut être décisif selon la pratique photographique
A pity that it's not an Art lens. Is it sharper than the new Tamron 70-180 G2 and the Sony 70-200 f/2.8 GM1 and the new Sony 70-200 f/4 G2? It is heavier than the new Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 GM2. Are there any wedding photographers or other people here who shoot for several hours or all day with lenses that are that heavy? All wedding photographers who have used a 70-200 f/2.8 for more than 5 years have shot for several hours with heavier than that. No "DSLR 70-200 f/2.8" were less than 1.5Kg (the Sigma DG HSM was 1.8Kg), and even now everyone with a 70-200 f/2.8 Nikon or Panasonic have to shoot with a 1.5Kg lens... you must understand that a 1.1Kg 70-200 f/2.8 FF is something new and all brands can't do it.
To answer your others questions, 70-200 Sigma are always Sport lenses. Sport lenses are at least as well built as Art (maybe even more). Sharpness tests I have seen until now prove that it's really close to the GM2 (in one of these tests it seems even sharper at 200mm).
@@alexverbeke2228 Thank you very much for your detailed feedback. I really appreciate it very much. I will have to decide between the new Sigma, the new Tamron 70-180 G2 and the old Sony 70-200 GM. I am basically someone who only buys Sony lenses. The GM is currently reduced to 1688 euros, the Sigma costs 1699 euros and the Tamron 1,499 euros. I find it remarkable that the Tamron is so light and can probably still keep up very well.
@@SebastianWorldwide The old GM I is not a good option, imo. It's heavier than the Sigma and IQ is not as good (even the Tamon G1 is better, I think). As long as you don't need more than 15fps and TC, forget it. Between Tamron and Sigma it depends what you use it for, the Tamron is great for travels and everyday use (if you stick to FF, obviously) and the Sigma is great for pro use. In Sony line you should compare the Tamron to the G macro and the Sigma to the GM II, always extra cost with Sony but again if you don't need 20/30fps or TC compatibility I think Tamron and Sigma worth it more.
@@alexverbeke2228 Once again, thank you very much. Everything you write makes sense. I spent a long time today looking at all the lenses mentioned. And I have come to the conclusion that the Sigma is the most suitable lens for me. Of course, the Tamron is lighter, which is a huge plus. But the Sigma simply has a higher quality appearance, it has an aperture ring and a clear plus point for me: it has an internal zoom so that the barrel does not extend. I'm not willing to pay 2900 euros for the new Sony. The Sigma can almost keep up and "only" costs a little more than half as much. It's still a lot of money, of course, but I think the price is fair in relation to the new Sony. The old Sony GM is no longer an option. It's from 2016, is optically worse as you say and I've heard it's noisy when focusing and not very fast.
