- We were thrilled when Catherine Russell stopped by the KNKX studios on July 21, 2015 for a Live Studio Session. Here she delights us with her performance of "Aged And Mellow" off of her new studio album "Bring It Back."

Catherine Russell is exquisite.
Ms. Russell certainly deserves all the accolades that everyone here is giving her. However, it should be acknowledged that Mark Shane is absolutely killin' it on the piano. One problem i have with the guitar player is that he owns that wonderful sounding instrument and I don't. The other problem I have with him is that he played a few voice leadings i didn't think to play when I learned this tune. He should not be humbling his elders like that. Seriously, Matt's playing served the music perfectly and Tal is also at that the same rung of the ladder. Thanks to those responsible for capturing this gem and making it available.
