I don't understand why Belgium doesn't give back the part of the Vennbahn, that runs through Germany and is now a cycle path.
What do they want to do with that cycle path?

According to wikipedia there was a discussion in 2008 (when it was decided that the railway line was going to be dismanteled) to return the area to Germany but both sides agreed to let it stay as belgian territory. I guess it's now a bit of a tourist attraction so both sides benefit from this unsual border.

It doesn't make any sense that it's still Belgian territory because it causes many problems, for example in the case of accidents etc.
