Getting stuck on the barrier on the highway gave me nostalgic feels about being a kid and watching worlds wildest police chases when they showed that time the guy stole a tank and got stuck the same way lol
Beam is already capable of that but it takes quite a bit of time to make the vehicle physics node-beam. Very time consuming to make working tracks(and plus, you'd need a very good CPU to even run a fully tracked vehicle cause it would be a lot more calculations than a car(more nodes and beams).
All I could think of when watching this was that video that Fox used to show all the time in the 90's, the one of the stolen tank that was running loose in LA flattening parked cars.
My favorite mod for crushing cars is the BelAZ 75710. Super gigantic quarry truck just flattens everything in its path. I also love attaching Jato rockets to it and sending it. Not sure if it’s still available, I had to pull the file off my old PC when I upgraded a few years back.
I've done Tank Mayhem in GTA Vice City (Instant explosions / can't explode unless upside down), GTA 5 (severe damage or explosions / can explode after enough gun fire or explode a car under you), but seeing this in Beam NG is awesome! A different perspective in how damaging a tank truly can be! Great content Jeff and awesome seeing some Beam NG. Maybe the FivePD boys would want to do their next chase on here!

The public needs to see this thing in beam mp with Dave and the gang (if the mod works in mp). This is the best mod since the crown vics... maybe some tank vs crown vic action???

Yeah, US Army Veteran Shawn Nelson, who stole an M60A3 tank from an armory in San Diego, California back on May 17, 1995.
That would’ve been a little cooler if the tracks actually rotate when you drive and not just slide down the road. But still really cool.
