What I admire in her, besides her vocal technique and artistic interpretations, is her modesty and simplicity. She is really a great singer. Thank you for sharing her latest performances. I am really stunned! A lady over 50, still in her primes.
Wow. Its amazing she can make all those numerous facial expressions and still get an absolutely gorgeous sound out of her mouth! Proof that great Opera performers like her are not only amazing singers, but actors as well!
I know Dessay's,Sills',Sutherland's,Callas',Devia's,Netrebko's and many others versions! Gruberova is the best! In my opinion, she is the best Amina,Lucia,Linda,Beatrice,Elvira,Elisabetta,Anna,Maria di Rohan,Maria Stuarda,Semiramide,Rosina and many others! I can't listen to Donizetti,Bellini e Rossini if she isn't singing! Gruberova, Brazilians LOVE YOU!*

Somehow I doubt that :-) Actually, I am not sure that Dessay, Devia, or Netrebko have sung this ever...but I will surely agree that Gruberova does this quite well! I've only heard 1 soprano sing this aria better, & she was a fellow student in college:)
Sorry- ich kann mich der allgemeinen Euphorie nicht anschließen. Natürlich bewundere ich, wie Gruberova immer noch, trotz ihres fortgeschrittenen Alters, singen kann. Hut ab! Aber ihre Gestaltung empfinde ich als höchst manieriert, übertrieben. Gute Komik darf meiner Meinung nach nicht so überborden. Mir zumindest bleibt dann das Lachen im Halse stecken.
