Liquid is strong. The problem is Micke. He is really useless. 3 games with no impact. They gave him strong lane heroes and he still loses the lane. Look at how dryacho plays. They give him strong lane heroes and he dominates the lane. Nisha has been carrying Micke this whole tournament. They can literally reach the grand finals even if you replace him with every carry who is in this tournament.

While top 2 is great and all, getting multiple top2 again and again and not a single champion in their life is actually depressing. Nisha’s cam at the end of game 2 has him crying a bit. There is no way they arent sad about this.

It's more than that I think it's also because the meta heros are the strength ones so the fight eventually become who can outlast/out survive who. That's why hero likes Pango , DK , Brew , Cent , Naix , Troll etc. are amongst the popular cores. While on the other side to counter this are heroes who can 100 to 0 someone in second(s) becomes more popular too someone like Sandking , SF , CK , Tiny etc.

That means they beat everyother team (sometimes including GG like Riyahd Upperbracket final) to get there.
Liquid has a mental barrier when it comes to facing GG in finals while they had a winning record in 2024 vs them before that final, something has to change in the coaching staff.

It was two entirely different matchups. SK into SF is infinitely more difficult than SK into tiny, where you literally just have to press E everytime he walks up to the creepwave.
Team Liquid is losing mostly on vision war and game pacing, literally no vision at all whenever they engage the key roles of other team which lead to poor decision making. Props to Gaimin Gladiator for domanating the whole series
At this point liquid is a paid actor
Dota is not more the great game that it used to be, all those tournaments are just an infinite streams of stomps, a stomp fest with very few really competitive matches and no comebacks

I have to be honest: Im a Liquid Fanboy and when someone before the tournament said they will be 2nd place i would have been very happy... Anyway, congrats to GG, i just hope these losing streak in the final doenst result in disbanding or internal problems soon...

Liquid relies on 33 and nisha a lot. They make the game revolve around 33 And they actually were not even trying to win game 3 at a point they even stopped pushing the lanes. But kudos to GG , they have definitely improved themselves especially drachiyo.

Another one: whoever beat Tundra lost their next series- 1st Liquid beats Tundra (2-0) to LBrackets then loses next to GG, Falcons after an incredible LB run faces Tundra and 2-0's them then loses next series to Liquid.

Liquid just has a really bad matchup against GG. Falcons and Spirit would have stood a better chance against GG but sadly they dropped the ball and got eliminated.
@@imfinishedgrinding638 i do think teams like spirit and falcons are staying on off-meta picks that mostly are their signature heroes, while liquid at least drafted comfort and also fun and experimental picks (such as morph support). Gaimin, on the other hand, took the draft much more seriously and make sure they can secure top meta picks especially for quinn and ace.

I don't know if it's the draft, wards, itemization or GG just got their number. Cause nobody gave Liquid a chance againts Falcons, the bettors, the fans even the panelists even said that it's Falcons that are going to the finals, yet they demolished them 2-0. They swept the team that everyone thought would win the entire tournament. Again, I don't know it's just probably because GG always has their number, their Kryptonite.
GG had a losing record vs Liquid in 2024 before this series. Even after this series they are 11-10 in 2024. GG is just back at their 2023 level
Out-picked, out-played, out-classed
Liquid really need to have more respect for Quinn in the draft and not hand him easy lane matchups. Hell, don't even give him even matchups - I want to see Quinn facing the filthiest of cheese every game and ganked relentlessly to add insult to injury. I don't care if it means picking non-meta heroes for nisha, I don't care if it means less draft synergy, I don't care if nisha has to take last pick every game. I never want to see another Quinn SF snacking on a helpless SK - it should be top priority to get him on the back foot early and play off that momentum.

basically the other teams that lose against liquid can't follow liquid fast tempo meanwhile GG casually reads and drag the game, which means liquid finally found their match, however GG skill is 10000x higher which made the final anticlimatic
Liquid didnt try fast tempo at all vs GG, they drafted 3 losing lanes and bet they could survive lanes to have better 5v5 teamfights. 33 literally took the worst facet for laning.

I dont know are you watching all the games from the tournament and before. Falcons is one of the best teams with GG. They just didnt adapted good against Liquid picks. Their Boxi is so damn good. This patch is too aura packed. Even supports are buying auras to sustain their cores to make them pretty much invulnerable. Hope a patch comes that balance every aspect of the game
