MRV will protect system if there any problems to move sos plate like piston stuck or DCV not work and pump continue delivering in such situations MRV will tank the oil and protect system. Related to the ongoing discussion, let me allow to add our observation, in case of "Load sensing pressure compensated" Piston pump MRV is not supposed to open. MRV will open only when the "pressure compensated spool" of the pump regulator is unable to de-stroke the pump. This situation allows system pressure to increase up-to the MRV relief setting ( which is always set higher than pressure compensator setting) and eventually drain to tank, through the MRV.
Very well explained liked it. Now as the name suggests main RELIEF valve or pressure RELIEF valve is to reduce the excess Hydraulic pressure from the system. It acts as a safety device for the entire circuit. Looking forward for some more vedios on electrical as well.
Hi sir, we have one unit junjin rock drill unit, model Jd 1300 with rexroth A10 0 71DFLR1/31L(Front pump) and A10V 071 DFLR/31L (Rear pump) my question is when both Ls line is disconnected from P1 and P2 regulator, start up the engine, will oil leak from regulator port (x).
Role of MRV is to tank the pressure line if system pressure exceeds it's maximum pressure... In other words we can say that it is one of the saftey device for the hydraulic system which prevent any components failure due to excessive or unwanted pressure in system bcz of any malfunctioning in system, like spool stuck....
MRV pressure set in the system is just little bit higher than pressure compensator valve set..Just because of if pressure compensator valve is somehow stack in position then system pressure will be high and pump will be in load so, many of the components can be damage .. secondly relief valve have quickly actuate property and relief the system pressure (if somehow system pressure is high ) than pressure compensator valve .
