I thought about the same thing, but on my projected timeline the fully immersive simulation doesn't come until 2050 and time dilation (accelerated time perception within VR) and other peripheral technologies wont be here until 2100. There will be set backs in our technological advancements, like war. There will also be bureaucracy, laws, copyright, funding issues, prototype fails and all of that which could slow progress. Just because something is possible doesn't mean we as humans do it (for the moment). Someones has to put all of it together. The things we COULD have RIGHT NOW are outright futuristic magic, but we don't have them because of the obstacles we face when it comes to progress. And even when it comes to LLMs and simple AI many already ask themselves... do we WANT to progress this fast? Many unknowns. Hence my conservative estimations.

Fantasy shouldn't be labeled as news. We have enough people in our world already having trouble telling the difference between the two. Also, there are many possible directions our future can take and the one described in that video is extremely unlikely, if even actually possible. Yes I know you expect reasonable people to know that when it states something will happen that's not meant to be taken seriously, but unfortunately I can pretty much guarantee you that some people will take it seriously anyway, and that makes it dangerous. Please keep that in mind in the future.
You’re right, but AI channels like these treat it as their bread and butter. Look at the video uploaded last December as a clear example. AGI in 3 years, the singularity in 12, aging cured in 17, fully automated luxury communism in 22, and an ASI the size of galaxies that uses computronium to build a black hole in 77. It’s absurd in so many ways, right? Even people on r/singularity found it ridiculous. And this isn’t the only channel. Venture City has done several AI timeline videos in the same way with similar levels of speculation, but focused on human resistance to AI decisions and the creation of AI-free zones and whatever. Long story short, what you’re describing is exactly the point IMO.
