we hve lots of similar idiosm in spanish as in English as weel, in this case we say darle vuelta a la pagina which It translate almost exactly into english

Dear teacher, I'd like to know if these sentences sound OK in English, especially regarding the use of 'less' and 'short'
1. Despite this being the festive season, business is less / short for us.
2. Being a holiday, buses are short today.
3. My knowledge of science is less / short.
Please help me.

Hi. Normally I focus on questions about the video, but I'll make an exception this time.
1. Despite being the HOLIDAY season, business is DOWN / SLOW for us. (both work)
2. Being a holiday, there are FEWER buses today. (We can count buses, so fewer is the correct choice here) We are short on buses today because three are in the shop getting repairs (to be short on).
3. My knowledge of science is LIMITED.

It seems that to turn the page means the same as to move on.

There is defintely some overlap in the meanings! If you watch my "to move on" video, you'll see that "to move on" has more uses than this idiom.
